Um, yeah!! I had all of the above. I used to make out with my Shawn Cassidy album cover and play his song "Shadow Dancing" over and over again. My Muppett Lunchbox was the best! Also, I so wanted to be a Solid Gold dancer! Dance Fever was another one of my favorite shows! As for the Electric company, me and my sister used to say bad words when those shadow people would come out and pronounce words syllable by syllable. My sister would say "sh" and I would say "it" then we both would say "sh%t!! Tell me that no one else did that!

LMAO! Our shag was avocado green! The appliances were either that or harvest gold!! I actually still have the harvest gold Maytags. God, this brought back some memories, I was actually a teenager by 1974, and graduated in 1979...but much of this hits home! I can soooo relate to "That 70's Show"! I was those kids! :p

Wow - the things we remember (I was a teenager then too).....my girlfriend & I spilled hot pink nail polish in the middle of her bedroom floor - right after being told NOT to paint on the carpet! We cut the yarn down to get the polish out and then "mowed" some of the closet carpet and tried to glue it back on the carpet that you could see....worked ok until her mom vacuumed - then the sh$$ hit the fan and we were both grounded.

Shawn Cassidy......my 17 year old daughter came home from her dads house after last weekend and drug me to my room (the only good stereo in the house right now) and puts in a CD she made and very giddily says "mom, do you know who Shawn Cassidy is?" - uhhh, no, I only had a full size poster of the guy on my bedroom door...She pushes play and starts giggling, like we used to do back then, the first few beats play and I'm like "OMG-I used to listen to this ALL the time!" ..... I think I love you, so what am I so afraid of..........

and those harvest gold appliances, they were the very first thing I had replaced when I bought my house 8 years ago. They were all white before I even moved in!! The countertops in the kitchen are still the goldish yellow color - livable, but they are being replace this year as well. Thank goodness the former owner was smart enough to replace the lovely orange shag carpeting before he listed it for sale - I found traces of it in the vent in the livingroom.

Ooops, I forgot.....

how about the Barbie that had boobs that grew when you put her arm over her head or the pregnant Barbie that had a snap off tummy with a baby inside! They sure took those off the market quick - too bad my mom gave mine away. They're probably worth some money now.

And, "Beth" I hear you callin'..... by KISS was my favorite song!
I think I wore a hole thru my album from playing it so many times - still have all the vinyl - KISS, Bay City Rollers, ELO, Beach Boys, Ohio Players............

you had either a "bowl cut" or a "pixie", not to mention the "Dorothy Hamill" because your mom was sick of braiding your hair. How traumatic when people thought you were a boy.
......
LMAO I was tramatized when my mom cut my hair ...and yes she was tired of braiding it :(

But lets not forget creepy crawlers either I loved thoes things

This thread brings back so many happy memories. I can associate with every one of them. I had a purple bike with banana seat and a basket, thought it was cool. Yes, the terry cloth shorts and tank tops too.:D I was in love with Shaun Cassidy, had loads of his posters. I read Tiger Beat. I had the metal roller skates too. I loved going to the roller rinks, we would have school parties and you would hope that cute guy asked you to skate.;) I still listen to the music from the 70's too. Isn't it funny every body thought the same about the "Physical" song. :p I had the Farrah Fawcet hairstyle too, thought it was so cool with the wings.
