So much for a lazy Sunday morning.

Sounds wonderful - all of it!!! Your cardinal story reminds me of when my dad died. We were cleaning out his house and a cardinal kept sitting on a window frame and pecking at the window of the room we were in. And my dad had red hair, so we all got a laugh out of it. Anyhoo! Glad Miss A is doing well and it sounds like she is in wonderful hands. Get some rest yourself, lady! :)

Before I left for Gainesville I grabbed a blanket and rubbed it on my hubby, and last night I slept on it. When I dropped Arabella off I left the blanket with her so she would have something with our scents on it. When the vet called with an update she said the princess was doing great and was curled up on her blanket sleeping comfortably.

The vet also said she won't be allowed to jump or go up and down stairs. There is only one step to go outside so that isn't a problem. Since we will be moving soon anyway. DH and I went ahead and took the bed apart and put the mattress on the ground so she can easily climb in bed and snuggle.

My girl is home! applauseicon She was walking on her leg last night and continues to do well today. The vet and the surgeon both said she is one tough girl. Most dogs don't do so well so quickly. I know that just means she is going to want to run too soon. lol She is eating and "recycling" her food just fine. They sent home pain meds for 4 days as well as some Pepcid and a sedative. She hasn't needed to the last two yet, and hopefully that will remain the case.

Her tumor was longer going up and down that is was wide so they didn't need to take as much skin that way making it easier for her to walk now with less pulling. Thank you everyone for the prayers and the vibes! they seem to be doing their thing! You all are the best!

I am attaching a few pictures. One is her ride home. She slept most of the two hour drive but was getting antsy towards the end. There is one that shows how much the shaved off. Another shows the incision. It is kind of hard to spot with her brindle markings. The last picture is her sleeping after her dinner. 11251120_10203170750349935_2632577105293663975_n.jpg 11419728_10203171321404211_7899669454992690200_n.jpg 11401127_10203171321644217_5087262238568770899_n.jpg 11390323_10203171380085678_9120851785335569871_n.jpg

VERY GLAD SHE IS HOME and doing so well!! Looking at the picture of her leg I am amazed how good it looks. We will just ignore the ring of shame. :)
