Niki has to pass gas everytime she lays next to me. Both girls make funny sounds when they think someone's coming. Kidney bean all the time. Approach me with their butts first, so I know where I'm suppose to pet them.

Cassie does things that my other dog ( not a boxer) has never done, like grabbing my ankles with both paws and holding tight while she is dragged along, and using her paws a lot in playing with Tess swiping her with them, she is also devastated when she's told not to do something and we're upset with her it takes her ages to forgive us.

I've Loved everyones Boxer Traits.

Our Boxer Alfie - 12 months now (but still our Puppster) chargers around like a Rhino and manages to stand on you (or the fatty part of your leg) so he can get a better view out of the window. Also he sits looking out of the window and falls asleep with his head on the ledge - he has also been known to fall asleep with his head on your lap and his feet on the floor until they slowly give way ending up in a 'praying position'.

Sits like a statue waiting for tit-bits of food - head not moving just his eyes from left to right as if he's watching a tennins match.

Alfie also puts both paws round your sholders and just holds his mouth over yours as if he's smooching and stays there till you cant breath any longer.

Watches everything you do so intensly and studies everything - from peeling potatoes to putting new batteries in the remote.

Alfies loves the push me pull you game - where he shoulder barges (on the floor) and has to keep contact at all times.

Last one - when he's over tired and wont give in, he cuddles up to you on the floor he does forward-rolls where you think he's gonna break his neck so you have to catch him and roll him over safely before his feet end up in your face.

See ya

Alfie sounds totally too cute! My George (18 months and 85 pounds of pure puppy love) loves to ride in the car. If it's hot and he KNOWS you're going to run the air conditioner, he races to get in the front passenger seat. If my son tries to strong arm him out, George will pretend to be vicious and growl and give you mean looks. He's never bit anything but food and never will, but he won't give up the front seat. As soon as the AC is on, he keeps his butt in the seat, puts his two front paws on the floor, noses the vent down and then puts his chin on the open glove compartment door. The lock part of my glove compartment broke off about a year ago and that suits George just fine because now he has a ledge for his chin. With the AC vent pointing towards his head/nose, he falls asleep with his chin on the glove compartment door. If he wakes up, he will lean across the middle console and try to hog the two center vents. In the meantime, he usually puts the car into neutral as he tries to position his tail end to catch the cold from the right AC vent. Driving is always an adventure with George in the car!

Stella likes to lie flat in a muddy puddle, on hot days and splash around like a pig.

Kez loves to do this aswell; not just on sunny days, anyday will do, especially after chasing lily round the field. We were walking home the other day and walked passed someone who was cleaning their car, the water from the hose had made a nice puddle on the path, Kez decided that he was going to have a lie down in it, could i move him?..... not till he was ready. Had a few funny looks that day. :)

Does anyone have dogs with hiccups? Ours do that in their sleep sometimes for no apparent reason.

Scout is only 7 weeks old and our first boxer. I don't know a lot of the traits they are supposed to have, but she does get the hiccups quite often. I think it is funny. She doesn't get them in her sleep that I noticed.

She does lie down like a frog, and she loves her pigs ear chew. I think it is hilarious that she bats things around like a cat.

What is kidney beaning?

Hiccups

I am such a worrier being a first time boxer mommy that I had to ask the vet about the hiccups and she said they were normal. Duke will get the hiccups at least 2x a day but I've never heard them while he's sleeping. (Maybe it's because he's snoring soo loud). I thought that Duke was part cat! He loves to play like a cat batting things around, having had cats all my life it's hilarious to see a dog doing that. I too wonder what kidney beaning is?

woo woo song

Chloe also makes the Woo Woo Song and it sounds exactly like the sound chew-bakka makes. Plus she does all the above especially kidney beaning. She does not snore however. The funniest thing is when she thinks her imaginary friend is chasing her and runs the fastest circles.
