Boxer Traits

Sirus'Mommy

Super Boxer
The older they get, The goofier they get!

Now that Sirus is older, (1 1/2) I've come to notice more and more predominant Boxer traits.

~Laying on his back...rubbing his back, shoulders, and head/face all over the floor.
~Throwing his toys and hitting mommy with them!
~Rubbing along the whole length of the couch or recliner, muzzle first, like a cat.
~Licking his paws and cleaning like a cat.
~Boxing, like a Boxer
~Talking back!
~HUGE Boxer sighs...love 'em!
~Drinking large quantities of H2O, and then shaking all of his slobber off all over everyone!
~Cuddlebug.
~Great shoulder to cry on!
~Kidney Beans...another favorite!
~What we call the "Sirus Shake"...sort of like a modified Kidney Bean.
~Chewbaca...very much different from the Woo-Woo.

Woo-Woo is still the only Boxer trait that Sirus does not have. He doesn't even bark like a Boxer! He barks like a big GSD...it's very odd!

We have a puppy named Hoss too! He likes to sleep on his back, chase flies, snores, take naps, runs in circles, dives and hides in tall weeds, runs sideways into things (doesn't look), wiggles his butt, etc. He also likes to tell you things he thinks you should hear!!! (ha,ha) He's not a barker but sometimes he has to sass about things!

Hicups

Absolutely!!!!!!!!!
My two girls got hicups after they ate and if something startled them until they where a-little over a year old. I thought it was cute. Wait until the gas starts!!!! You will love them unconditionally, though!

Enjoy!,

Yes it is!!! Sam always had the hiccups when he was a baby! He still gets them from time to time, although not as often as he used to!

jealousy

Maya is jealous like crazy. She will jump between us and any other dog we might happen to be near and lick us to death.

As if to say "You forgot about me!! Don't forget about me!! Pay attention to me!! Me!! ME!! MEEEEE!!!!!!"

BijousMom

Boxer Buddy
Wow - Bijou is like a cat also. Probably helps that we have 4 in the house that she can watch. She also LOVES their food.

She loves to rub on the furniture at odd times. She does the beaning thing when she is excited to see us. She also puts her head on me or sometimes the ottoman and makes it seem like her head weighs a ton. Very funny!

She jumps around our furniture when she gets keyed up. So funny to watch and as of right now she has only broken one thing. It was really hilarious when she was a little younger before she really knew what she was doing and she would end up on the furniture and look around as if to ask "How did I get up here and would someone help me down?". I love watching her!

Boxers are awesome!

Mine like to do these things:

Chewbaca at toys.
Bark at toys.
Woo Woo a long time at weird noises.
Doing the Boxer burn after a BM.
Greet everyone with wags and kisses.
Bark at the computer if they hear something strange.
Bark and run and jackhammer the Vacuum.
Run as fast as can be when they hear the ice cubes coming out of the fridge and always get to chew on one.
Love to play keep away or want me to chase them and play peek-a-boo around trees.
Smiling big while playing keep away or chase.
Love to lick feet and socks.
Wake up someone with kisses.
Snore loud, bark, and growl in sleep.
Love to let me sleep in as long as I want.

I am sure a lot of these have been mentioned and I have not said all of the things mine do. Gotta love 'em!

Jenna

Jenna Loves our 5 year old. She stands on her hind legs and hugs him with her front paws. This morning it was as if she was holding him back so he couldn't go to school. She has 3 two legged brothers and hates it when they go to school. She is most attached to the 5 year old. She piles up on the couch using the arm of it to hold her heavy head and then he uses her to hold his.

We had two beds in the same room for the kids...The boys would jump back and forth on the beds at night burning off the last of the days energy. Jenna will get in line with the boys and take turns playing the jump on the bed game. It is so funny to see her perched on the edge of the bed waiting "HER TURN!!!" She is such a wonderful addition to our family.
