you should just take a picture of your arms to use as your avatar, then tell anyone breaking the rules to refer to your avatar for clarification !

best advice i can give you is...occupy yourself somehow. If theres music on.. sing or just keep in a conversation with someone

It will be fun getting them together! My DH and I did that when we were dating-nothing else going on that Friday night, might as well get ink ! Do you know what you are getting yet? How exciting!

I am also tattooed!! I have a tattoo on my lower back of my husband, children and my astrological signs. I also have a dorje on my stomach (it is a hindu symbol) and a tree with a cresent moon on my upper back.

I will be starting my new tattoo at the end of this month. I cant wait!!!

EAT! Eat a big meal- breakfast, whatever. It will help you stay level headed. Also, it WON'T be as bad as you think. Your artist will do a small line or dot and then stop so you can feel what it's like and settle into it. Let them know it's your first. Usually, they will talk to you. I have been fasinated by the woman who did my first one, so it was fun asking her about her first tat, etc.
I just deeply meditated during my first one- in fact, one person in the shop said I looked like I was going to fall asleep. The tat was on my sholders tho, so it was pretty easy (my second one, 2 days after my divorce was finallized, I was too pissed off to meditate, so I just gripped the chair real hard. It was on my lower back and hurt like a b*tch. Just don't tense up, you'll be fine. :D

when i got my second, we were in the main room where the cash is, i hade my pants pulled down (not to my ankles just the wasite lin epulled down) my shirt pulled up so and a little girl was staring at me. I remember singing laughing because the wire was vibrating on my tummy and tickling me and i know a lot of the time my eyes were closed and i just went to my own world.
