I never knew what those things are called - we refer to them as Mutant Crickets! :)

And then when I get really brave and step on one to kill it, it pops and the back legs fall off  So gross!

Well, I know this post is a little old, but since "frankied's" post is going to be closed, I thought maybe I'd start it up, again.
I voted for spiders (chills just typing that), b/c they are definitely my biggest phobia. I blame this solely on my dad-when we were little, it was still legal to ride in the back of a pickup truck, and me and my sister loved to! Well, we lived in Oklahoma at the time, and when we would go somewhere, you would almost always see tarantulas walking across the street. My dad used to tell us he was going to catch one and throw it back there with us!! It used to terrify me! I should have known he wouldn't actually pick one up himself, but that thought never crossed my mind-just those huge, hairy, eight-legged monsters crawling around!! AAAAGGGHHH!! My friends all made fun of me and one year decided to hang a HUGE fake spiderweb w/a very real-looking spider in it above my desk-I almost started crying when I saw it! Needless to say, they now know I'm not just over-dramatizing my phobia.
I also don't like enclosed places either, especially elevators-not just elevators, but the stoppage of an elevator in between floors-SHIVER!. But I can talk my way through an occurence like that-just not SPIDERS!
Oh, well maybe this will be therapeutic for everyone.

Wow! So I am not alone in my fear of spiders. Why do you suppose we hate them so? I hate their creepy long legs! Ewww!

I really also hate driving on the highway! It's scary knowing other people on the road could control your fate! Yikes!

I have a fear of earwigs!!! Do you guys call them earwigs?? The pinchy bugs that are really ugly? One time, I was outside and I pulled a pole out of the ground, and they were just BUBBLING over there were so many! My sister always told me that if they crawl in your ear (I think there was an episode of Star Trek where one crawled in Spock's ear) that they would pinch your brain and you'd die.
Spiders too... and Semi trucks.

I love snakes. Used to have a Boa, Nadine. She was a rescue and is now at a zoo. I am also one of the rare people who doesn't mind spiders. I once saved a mexican brown tarantula from getting splatted on the road. My ex thought I was nuts. My worst fear is bees & wasps. I run run run. I have even tried to close my eyes until they fly away but I still end up running. I am allergic and have been stung 3X. All yielding a trip to the Dr. Most likely because I can't stop the darn running.
