That was my thread about spiders, so I guess it's pretty obvious. I HATE SPIDERS!! There really isn't much that gives me the heeby geebies, but spiders send chills all through me. I can feel them, their tons of eyes, looking only at me. :)

Mine is heights, but in a weird way. Like I can go on rollar costers if I don't look down. And in malls, if there's only the glass railings, I can't walk near them, but if it's the metal fence kind, I feel safer. Also I cannot walk across glass floors that I can see below me. In the mall by our house there a walkway that is little glass squares, I refuse to walk across unless I'm in the middle clutching onto my bf.

Man I don't check a thread for a day or two and they let Cubby in. Now to think about it, rappelling fixed my fear of heights. Wonder if my wife would allow me to go to this "therapy"?

Don't particularly like spiders or snakes , did when I was young though, seems you get older and more scared  or smarter?

I don't like heights either! as long as I can hold on I feel better but my legs start getting like jello yuk! I also get claustrophobia, elevators are the worst, when they stop and that door doesn't open fast enough I grab onto hubby and start shaking, I also hate being held down or under water too long. Loosing my breath just talking about it. Can't even sit in a two door car. I'm scared of a lot of things but petrified of small spaces.

I used to think I had a fear of heights, but after going to work in a high rise 7 years ago (I have an office on the 58th floor) I have determined that my fear isn't heights, it's FALLING! I can stand and look out the window all day however I can't get close to it or to close to the edge without getting lightheaded. So I placed my credenza by the window so it's between me and the window. No chance I'm going out it by accident now. Seeing the window washers come by totally freaks me out! Not a job I could EVER do!

I voted heights. I get dizzy looking down and ssleighter>>I to think it is mainly the fear of falling. I don't like going down the kind of elevators that have a glass side. I just hold my breath and wait till its over. Thankfully, I haven't had to ride on many of them. I have rode on one rollercoaster before, though. The only part of the ride I really don't like is the huge hill you have to go down before anything else. *shivers*

I also don't really care for spiders. I have gotten bitten many times. The worst was a Black Widow...VERY painful!! Itleast for me. I hope noone else would have to go through that! When I have to occansionally (sp?) feed the rabbits at night we will go down their and there are always lots of big (about the size of a quarter) brown spiders. They only come out at night. The next day them and their spider webs are gone.

Mine is definately heights. I'm 6'3" tall and when I get to 6'4" above ground level I start to get a little shakey. I will climb when I HAVE to, but whatever it is that I am doing is going to take a while.

It's taken this long to even vote for the word - Rodents (or anything that remotely resembles one, even a picture). I don't care for heights, crowds or small spaces either, but if a "critter" ran close to me, I would immediately overcome my dislike for the others and run for the nearest crowded elevator in a tall building. Went thru hypnosis years ago, didn't work - I wasn't "amused" by the creatures like I was supposed to be. One of our friends knew about my dislike and just as I opened the freezer in the back room of our old house, he hollered there's a m____! - After my reaction, he felt really bad and didn't realize it was an extreme phobia and apologized profusely. Of course I made him pull me out of the freezer!
