That's how I am about snakes. Although, the snakes in my garden are just garter snakes, my skin crawls whenever I see one.

I'm not crazy about spiders either. Or heights.

Too bad I could only vote for one!

I have a fear of other people touching my food or drinks. I wash and check everything before it goes into the fridge. At bars I only order bottled drinks that I open myself and if I lose sight of it, I throw it away
I don't eat at restaurants either which makes me a cheap girlfriend :D

car accidents..... i am very scared of car accidents. i guess it could be called a phobia because i am obsessive about things like seatbelts, airbags, and i'm one of those nutty ppl that will buy that little tool for the car that cuts your seat belt and will smash your window if you're trapped under water. i can't help it! i was in an accident as a little girl in the car with my father, and then again as an adult (just a fender bender).

i used to have a lot of anxiety over water... but i took swimming lessons at the ymca last winter and that made a big difference. at least i'm more comfortable IN the water now, even if i still won't put my face under water! :p

I know a dominatrix that could help you out with that phobia. :p

Mine is, oddly, spiders. I also have a fear of heights if I am not attched to anything - but if I have dental floss around my pinky attached to a flower, I feel safe and okay with the height. It only happens when I have nothing holding me at all.

BIRDS!!!! I cannot stand a bird anywhere near me, which is one reason I do not visit petshops that sell animals ;)

Spiders for the most part do not bother me, if one is in my way, I pick it up by the leg and move it out of my way.

I have a fear of swimming pools. I will go in about an inch of water. I never knew how to swim. When I was a teen I got thrown into a pool in the 8ft section, girls thought they were funny. I told them I didn't know how to swim. They had to come out and save me. Ever since I am scared to death and have no interest in learning. Get this, I will go in a boat, small or big with no worries. As long as there are life preservers.

I am a bit scared of snakes but that is it. Maniago, I love earthworms, I know I am sick, when gardening, I pick them up.:p

eWWWWWWWWWWW now picking up the slimey monsters!!!!!! thats just gross!!!!!!!

Tia(my daughter) picks them up just to be funny, the thought of touching one is just awful. When I have to plant something deep in the soil, Don does it. I love bags of soil, cause no wiggly slimey worms.

and yes I know they can't bite like snakes, but to be honest I'd rather see a snake.(insert gross spine shivering icon)

Spiders are #1...for example:
when I was in high school I was home alone while my parents were at work. I was a spider dropping down out of a floral arrangement my mom had on the tv. I corraled it under a glass, put an ash tray on it, and went outside until my parents got home. I think I recall a panic call to my mom at work begging her to come home early to take care of it.

About 8 yrs ago I got a brown recluse bite on my leg. I still have a large area of scarring and discolorartion from it.

Want to see a 180 man shriek like a 7 year old girl and run as fast as I can to get away. Throw a spider on me.

I can control my fear of heights and tight places. But get a spider near me and all bets are off. I had to go under the house this past spring to run a cable line for my computer. I have a lot of spiders under my house. I had to spray insecticide the day before, carefully inspect every corner near me and wear long sleeve shirt and pants. It took me over an hour to go under the house and string the cable. Most of the time was spent trying to get the courage up to go under there. When I was leaving. I caught a glimpse of something out of the corner of my eye. I looked closer and it was a Black Widow spider. I almost killed myself getting out from under there. Of course it died.
