Boxer Traits

Chance2

Boxer Pal
Chance wakes up in the morning and lays on his back with all fours up in the air for at least a half hour before he gets up out of his bed. And if we happen to put him in another room for any reason he will whine something aweful, along with perfectly timed woofs! Gracie his rottie sister will howl, so needless to say they are never very far from mom and dad!!

RomeoinLA

Boxer Pal
As I'm preparing Romeo's dinner, he whines and howls as if I haven't fed him for days -- I'll say, "oh you poor deprived baby, you haven't eaten in 6 whole hours." He whines back and nods like chewbacca, "AHHHHHHHGH."

Also when he's pooping for the seventh time in morning, it's like a liquid funnel gushing out of his butt. He always tries to carfully place his arse over the nearest plant or flower garden, but normally overshoots it by three feet.

When his younger brother Juan (a black pug) gets the same identical treat -- doesn't matter -- by birthright, the treat belongs to Romeo. When I ultimately have to take the treat away, a rumbling sigh can be heard for miles.

It's definitely a boxer's world -- everyone else is just living in it.

sinbad_6

Boxer Pal
Sinbad is 6 years hes my first boxer. hey lays on his back with his legs in the air. He also has alot of the other traits Excess gas, Heavy head, Running like a mad man around the yard and he snore worse then any human i ever met.

Boxer Drool

Boxer Pal
Inches off the bed

My Bo will do anything to not get kicked off the bed. I share my king sized bed with my 2 kids, 2 pugs and my boxer. When the pugs and her start playing around and pretend they're going to eat each other, I tell them to knock it off and get off the bed before they hurt the baby. The pugs will get off, but the boxer will only move an inch, or barely budge at all and she 'plays dead', and then I have to carry her off. She will do anything to stay on the bed, even hanging off the corner until she gets the final nudge off.

Boxer Booster
that's funny....

I didin' know other Boxers do the "laying on teh back with the legs up in the air thing" whn they get up. Haley does it for at least 10 minutes if not longer when I get up in the morning. She usually let's out about 2 or 3 heavy sighs if I try to roust her from the bead before she is ready. She has also started this new habit of licking me to wake me up at 7:00 AM on the weekends. If I don't get up, she will start walking around the bed and make sure she steps right on my face or stomach. If I still don't get up, she will sit next to the bed and whimper quietly until she get's aggitated and gives a big Boxer style whack right on the cheek! What a little brat. At thias point I usually get fed up on give her a stern "NO!" whichb settles her down for about oh....I would say 3.5 seconds. They are the most personable guys aren't they...

Jimbo uk

Boxer Pal
Louie usualy lays on his back and wriggles all over after he has woken up.He pulls himself arond the room for ages until he seems to get bored with it.
Also he tends to snort a lot when he isplaying with some of his toys.

I haven't figured out why, but both of my girls like to put their feet up. They lay real close to the couch on their sides and sleep with their feet pressed against it, or the bed, or me. It's cute to see them knocked out like that.

Boxer Pal
Lying on their backs

Hunter, my 15 week old boxer pup has a lot of the same qualites as Robyn's Cooper. He runs around our yard at a fast speed for no reason but it's hilarious. Barking at his toys is another thing he likes to do. He also likes to chase flies through my mom's curtains but when he's tired, he won't hesitate to flop down for a nap. Eventually he will flip over onto his back or while we are traveling he will lay in my lap or across my chest. Gotta love the cuddly little ones....except when they have gas! LOL:D
