Love it!!!!

I am a new boxer mommy to Boomer. Hes three months old and absolutely hilarious!!!! I was reading all the postings and just laughing. He does all of those things he enjoys singing to my dad and my boyfriend, but loves talking to me. Also he LOVES to steal everything of mine! He doesnt chew anything I believe hes just trying to remind me of the items in my room!!

The Boxer Wiggle

I have a 7 month old little girl named Lucy who is constantly amusing me with her antics. She's a little thief who loves to take things that she knows she shouldn't just so you will chase her around the house. She will even stand still just waiting for you to make the move towards her and then its just a game of catch me if you can. How about that boxer "wiggle". When she is excited to see me or anyone else that pays attention to her she does the wiggle and no matter what mood you're in that will definately put a smile on your face. I've never seen a dog that can walk while her body is shaped in a "U" but thats my Lucy. Lucy is my first dog ever and I can't believe how much joy she has given me from the first day I brought her home at 6 weeks. I'm just a very proud mom as you can tell.

Boxers are great

Wow, this thread has grown!!! I haven't read all the pages, but let me list some of Tyson's (almost 10 months) traits:

- Lays on back with legs up
- Lays sprawled out on his belly
- Snores (loudly most times)
- Snorts
- Gas (horrible!)
- Horse sound (not sure how to describe it..happens on the exhale)
- Kidney beans (esp for guests)
- Drags himself off the couch
- Wakes up like an old man, very slow
- "Rescues" his toys from his crate when we let him out
- Pounces on his toys when you toss them for him
- Boxer dashes
- Woo woo (only when enticed)
- Uses paws like a cat
- Leans all of his weight
- Has to be touching us when he sleeps in the bed
- Bounces like a rabbit when running at times
- Chases his nub

That's about all I can think of. He really is a good boy though...we love him.

Kidney beaning

Betty Cavender said:
Just want to add my boxer does most all the things mention and when I get home he so glad to see me that his head and tail or both looking at me, I think this is referred to as the wiggles. This is my first Boxer, but as all of you this is the love of my life. I have had lots of puppy dogs, but none that measure to my Mac.

Mac Mom
When it seems as if his head and tail are both looking at you that is what they refer to as kidney beaning! The shape looks like a kidney bean.

"oxer Woo-Woo Song"

Whoever wrote the above trait -- I'm sorry, I'm reading so many at one time, I can't remember -- hit that right on the head - -I'm hysterical. I'm glad to see my Gracie (6/22/04; female; natural ears; fawn) shares all of these wonderful traits as well. These are simply wonderful creatures. I'm a hostage to this kid, that's for sure. I have no "human" children, but frankly, not sure I could deal with anything less than this CONSTANT excitement I have right now! Best to you all...

all of the above plus how about the talking-woo-woo-woo-woo! As soon as we would walk in the door Sophie and before her, Ginger. Sophie was a big
baby too when we were walking if she heard a noise she would bark and her voice would kind of crack. They always lean on you as tho their legs can't hold them and Sophie would rest her head on the table, chin up, it was like a boxer face sugar bowl on the table. Enjoy your pups-there is nothing like them!! Cindy

WOO WOO SONG is kind of a howl.

Kidney Beaning is when they are so happy to see you....the face and the tail end kind of meet and it looks like a kidney bean.

Our little girl (4.5 m/o brindle) has a big brother to torment. She wears him out. This little pup hardly ever stops.

My favorites:

Since we have such a freaking tiny house Austin can't do many burns, so he does little 4ftx4ft circles around our recliner...poor little guy! Our little home is too small for him, that will change soon though!.
...what else... I love the tired eyes in the morning and right before bed when all her wants to do is lay his head on my lap and be close to me!! MY FAVORITE!
let's see what else:
-using me as a pillow
-going back into his crate when I get home to show me his sqeaky toys (love it)
- kidney beaning so hard his butt hits his face!!....
I love him sooo much!!!

Brittain

Boxer Booster
I love how Brittain sighs heavily now and then like it's really just too tough being a dog. Oh yeah. . . When she wants to get on my bed she pretends to not have any energy so that I lift her up. She rests her big head on it for a while and sighs a few times, then gets her front legs up and pushes mightily and then stops for a while, then heaves again, and if I've just sat there and laughed then she eventually pulls her back legs up as if this is the hardest thing in the world to do.

Roxi does practically everthing thats been mentioned with one addition to the kidney beaning when we arrive home, she has to find a toy or anything she sees lying around and bring it to you and dares you to get it from her
