My Crazy Boxer

Just sitting here at work reading all the threads. I was having a lousy day until I started reading. My Precious has all the traits listed and finds something new to get into everyday! She was a Valentines Gift from my husband and it was better than chocolate or jewelry. Her name is Precious and she is all that and some....

Precious Angel Evans Domena

I think that Ginger has all of these traits as well...the stinky gas, snoring, kidney beans, woo woo, sassy mouth, chewbacca sounds, opinionated, has to be touching you somewhere-anywhere, silently shadows you when you walk then if you make a quick turn you trip over her, did I mention snoring and gas, bouncing like a tigger, jumping like a gazelle, uses her front paws to knock you down, she pinches with her front teeth (trying to stop that), very animated behavior, play boxing, heavy sighs, spoiled rotten!!!

Tysons antics are just wonderful as are all Boxers.
If you're having a bad day, down in the dumps or just can't be bothered, they get you back into it again.
I adore it when Tyson bounces around like a Kangaroo!!
It's amazing the sense of direction they have as well. I take Tyson to my mum and dads to play with their dog a female staffy x and he knows way before we get there. He start whining and sooking and looks at me as if to say "Can't you go any faster!!!!!!!!!" The closer we get the more looks I get!!
I feel so guilty when I go passed their place to go to the shop first.
He then gets huffy!!!!! and slumps down in the back of the car and looks over at me with mournful eyes, doesn't move his head!! just the eyes!!!!!!!!!!!

Olive is gassy, she kidney beans and zips around like a maniac, pouncing back and forth like she's a goalie and when my husband is on the couch she loves to get up there and put her front paws around his neck from behind and nibble on both his ears, it's the funniest thing you've ever seen. She snores occasionally and she is a fruitbat. She has snuck and knocked a nectarine and plum off the kitchen table and gone to town on them eating them between her paws like a human, making her way around the fruit--I know because I've caught her. I came home Friday and found a couple banana peels on the floor..she ate 2 or 3 bananas-didn't phase her digestive system either. She also loves to run to the front window and press her face against the lace curtains and look outside making gutteral sounds...she doesn't bother tryign to get her face around the curtains, just presses them right up flat against the window. I love her!!!

Yep,that's typical boxer :) The sideways walk is affectionately called kidney beaning and the running fits are the one and only boxer burn!! From zero to warp speed in an instant!! You'd think they were being chased by ghosts

We have 2 boxers, Samson and Bella. Both are very protective of my children. They don't like it when strange people come around. Samson will "guard" the door while Bella circles the children. She really works herself up to almost a trot. Once they know it is ok, they both go back to whatever they were doing. We also have a puppy standard poodle, Maxie. I also wet my pants watching all three interact. Samson, the protector, father, alpha, will sit and watch Bella and Maxie play. If things get too aggressive, he trots over and gives a loud sharp bark. If that doesn't do the trick, he simply lays on one of them till they settle down. One thing all Boxers owners should know, they don't see themselves as your pet. They see themselves as a member of your family and become extremely distraught and depressed when they aren't treated as such. They have tender hearts and need your affection. Good luck with your Boxers! Mine have made our family whole!

Roxy's Mommy

In addition to all the endearing things everyone's written, Roxy just figured out how to open drawers. She learned how to push sliding coffee table drawers before she turned 1, and now that she is about to turn 2, she can now PULL open kitchen drawers. (I know this because she managed to get a bone out of one of the kitchen drawers while I was out and of course, ate the whole thing!) And as I am writing this, she is sleeping on the the rug next to the couch with one of her legs in mid air and a front paw up above her head pushing on the couch and her mouth around the bottom corner of the sofa's leg. Go figure. She is the most adorable and precious boxer in the world! God, I love my little Roxy!!

Kit does all of these things too. Someone said that they thought only Boxers "kidney bean," but just so you know I grew up with a toy poodle who also did this just as much, we used to call it the "pretzel dance," it was so funny!!!!!!!!!!!!
