It sounds like you are tangled up in a lot of "red tape". Do you have anything in writing at this point that the forclosure process is on hold while they are reviewing it? I just can't image that they would not come to the conclusion to take the back payments, probably add some fines, and get your loan back to normal. The bank will just take it's sweet old time. With the real estate market as it is, they would lose their butt if they forclosed, most likely. In the meantime, try not to beat yourself up about this. It is something you will learn from. It took me a while to learn that stuff like this won't go away on it's own. Hang in there, and good luck.

Do you think I should ask to talk to a supervisor if they tell me it's still in reveiw?

YES!!!!!! I would not let up one bit. And I would continue to inform them that you have the money CASH to get your loan current today. Persistence is the key. The guy that said not to call cause that irritates people was right. If you call like crazy they will settle this all the more quickly so you will quit bothering them. My Nana, god rest, was the most annoying person. She would call places everyday. Sometimes twice a day if it was something she felt was really important. It did not take these places long to just get her stuff taken care of so she would quit calling. Annoy the hell out of them if you have to, it is worth it and who cares if they think you are an aggravating crazy lady, it will be worth it in the end. Start calling everyday, take very thorough notes while you are on the phone, get names, badge numbers whatever they have of any and everybody you speak with everyday.

I called them again today (monday), and talked with someone that told me it was still in review. I am beating myself up right now because I didn't do more. She said that they will not extend the sale date until 24-48 hrs before it!!!!! AND, they don't HAVE to change it, even if my case is still in review!!! They tell me something different every time. I didn't even know what to say. I just froze. I am really beating myself up right now. I wish I would have said more to her. So, please keep sending those positve vibes and support for me that I have courage to ask more, and to ask to talk to a manager. I am just not good at this stuff.
I am going to ask to speak with a manager tomorrow and ask them to postpone the sale date since THEY lose my application the first time!

Sending a fresh stream of prayers and fight back vibes your way.

I understand the stay away from any and all confrontation thing you have going. I am very much that way myself. But this is one of those cases that you are just going to have to stand up and show them what you are made of. Good luck and keep us updated. Aniah is sending lots of sassy princess vibes your way, she has a lot to spare.

I also don't like to be "bitchy", but this is the time to do it. Be the biggest, baddest, most nagging person possible. When on the phone, and they try to dismiss you, right then and there demand you speak to a supervisor. Don't ask "could I speak to a supervisor?" tell them "I can see your not going to give me the answers I need, so I want to speak to your supervisor." Also, don't know if you'd want to do this, but get ahold of your local TV news. They usually have a "problem solver" type person who investigates stuff. Tell them your story. Last thing this bank would want is bad publicity. You didn't lose your paperwork, they did. TELL YOU MOM RIGHT AWAY. I know it's hard, but I know I would move heaven and earth to help my DDs. It's very hard, but she loves you and wants to help you in anyway she can. Just a few opinions I have. Keep us up to date. Keeping you in my prayers.

So sorry to hear that you are going through this and my condolences on the loss of your father.

Is there anyone in local government that you can call and who may assist? Someone who is voted in and could provide support or perhaps help things along?

I echo that you should ask to speak to someone higher up in the chain. And be prepared with some notes - the date of the first time you applied, the date you were informed that of the lost application, etc.
