I am so sorry. This must be unbearably hard for you. You posts have made me cry. We all know how much you love her. Just take comfort in knowing that dogs don’t anguish and worry like we do. As long as Angel is going to a nice place she will adjust.

Is there any chance the breeder will rehome her? Or did they promise to keep her forever?

I'm sorry I didn't answer your question - Pam promised she would keep her, she said as she is from her boxers she feels 50% responsible for her, I told her that should she not settle then to please let me know, I couldn't bear to think she had been passed on.

I had a telephone call and Pam said that Angel was distraught on the journey back, she thought this was from car sickness (I don't drive so she wouldn't be used to a car journey) she said she was panting and was sick. She said that Angel was now running in her large garden with her 4 other boxers, she said Angel was fascinated by her bulldog. She said she was starting to interact with her dogs a little. I hope she is ok, the only thing that bothered me was that she said her dogs spend a fair amount of time outside, running, playing, she has a large insulated dog run, Angel is not used to being outside a lot. I hope she isn't cold and is coping with all the other boxers. Pam said she would keep her within eyeshot for the next few days. She is taking Angel to a dog show on sunday.

Louise, it sounds like Angel is going to do great. Wow a dog show? That sounds like fun for Angel. I'm sure even if she is outside for a fair amount of time, she will not be cold. Having all those Boxers to run around and cuddle up with.

Yes, she does/has shown her boxers. I hope everyone isn't getting bored with my news, it is just helping me to talk about it.

I know this must be a very difficult day for you. My heart is breaking thinking about how you must be feeling. I think that's great that her breeder is taking her to the dog show. At least she won't be left home by herself as she's adjusting to a new place. Running around with the other boxers outside should keep her warm enough. Mine go to doggie daycare and even though it's really cold right now outside they still hold the daycare outside as the dogs are either playing fetch or running around like crazy with each other. I'm sure she'll be fine. Hang in there!

I don't think that there will be a dry eye on BW today. But you have done the right thing for Angel. Post the pics when you get them to let us all know how Angel is getting on.

I have been reading all along and I think you are a courageous women. As a multiple dog family I realize that this could be me. We rehomed a Golden Retriever when I was young and I am still haunted by that day. My prayers go to you and especially Angel.

Ruby and Luka don't seem to have noticed, when we came back from walking this morning was the 1st time I felt Luka noticed as he looked straight to Angel's crate where she'd normally be waiting for us to get back all excited for her walk. Ruby is too busy guarding the marrow bones to pay attention to anything else!

I haven't heard anymore from Pam yet, I won't ring as she needs to have time and I don't want to bother her. I am hoping for some pics, I will post them here. Thanks for all your interest and replies, I can't tell you how much help it has been to me.
