Here is another update from Pam. I think I feel reassured that my Angel is happy. I still feel so sad and tearful when I think of her but I know now that she has her new home -

Her heart score was 1, which is fine. She was much more relaxed in the car
at the weekend, she just curled up with Lana and the pup and slept most of
the way.
She is I think more of a "doggy" dog than a "people" dog, as she is in her
element with my others. She has slotted in well, and is not at all subdued
or submissive. She always makes a fuss of me, but never stays long as she
is too keen to go off and play. She eats very well indeed and will not let
any of the other dogs near her dish - she holds her own very well indeed.
She isn't very interested in balls etc, when I throw them she just watches
them go!! She will sometimes tug on a rubber ring for a few seconds, but
really she generally just wants to be with the others. I think Lana is her
special friend, but she has assumed a higher place in the gang than Lana
and is the leader of the two. Where she goes, Lana follows.
She joins in the general rush for treats and biscuits, and usually manages
to get the first one somehow.
It seems as if she has always been here really - she is just one of the gang.
I haven't let her off the lead when she goes for walks because she does
love to run, and I am worried she may not come back yet - although I think
she probably will as she usually comes when she is called. She gets a lot
of exercise tearing round the garden though. I will email you some photos
during the next few weeks - if she stays still long enough.
