Chin up, Louise. You are doing what you feel is the best for you and Angel. It will be hard but Angel will be happy in no time and you have Luka and Ruby to help you over this difficult hurdle. Hugs from me and Cornelius.

The lady (Pam) came to pick her up, she arrived at 12 noon. I felt so churned up and sick, the 3 of them were in their crates and when she came into the kitchen I just took Angel out and Pam greeted her lovingly. I took Angel for a wee and then we went out to her car, Pam had brought Angel's grandfather Arun with her and another female boxer Lara. I had already said my goodbye's to Angel and I felt like my heart would break, I couldn't watch her being put into the crate, my sister stayed with her as I ran into the house in floods of tears. Pam said she would ring as soon as they got home, she said she would send me some pics tonight.

I told Angel how much I love her and to be happy in her wonderful new home. Now I feel numb and tearful, I am hoping she will settle and won't be pining for us.

I'm so sorry your heart must be breaking. I'm sure she will settle and be happy in her new home.... she will have lots of boxers to play with, and you know she will be loved! Don't be too hard on yourself!

I feel for you. I know how much pain you are n right now...I have been in your shoes once. It is hard...but you will get through it..just know that you did what was best for your baby and she loves you for it. Maybe you could visit her with your other dogs for a play date from time to time.

As difficult as it was to let Angel go, you are doing what is best for her and selflessness hurts. I know that once some time has passed and you are assured that Angel is thriving, you too will know you did the right thing.

This is such a sad time for you - I understand. I had to give up my cat Dharma after raising her for 2yrs. I moved from a house to a flat at that time & she fell off our 3rd floor balcony. It was that & the fact that I suddenly gained a cat allergy that made me rehome her. I was in a right state. I feel your pain.

Angel will always live with you in your heart.

Dharma is in mine every day.

xxx.
