Funny one

Well, I met my husband 10 years ago when he came into a local bar where my friends and I were hanging out.

If you can picture a hunter's bar...it's full of stuffed wild game (deer heads, pheasants, etc. all hanging from the walls and celing). Well of course, I was sitting underneath a stuffed beaver, so my, oh so funny, husband had to use the Naked Gun line...Nice Beaver. To which I responded...Thanks, just had it stuffed. 11 years later, here we are.

Such sweet stories!!! I was working at a computer store while going to school and my hubby was a customer. It was one of those situations where I thought he wanted to ask me out, and I was not about ask him (chicken!!). I was getting fed up and I pulled his phone number out of our database, and just as I was standing with his number on a paper debating with a coworker about weather I should call and ask him out or not, I was paged with a call and it was him. :D We have been together for nine years, how time flies.... I wouldn't change a thing.

I met my goofball BF in college. His cousin lived on my floor and he came to visit her for his spring break. He went to school in up state NY and I went to school in Central PA. The distance between our schools was 7hours one way  Anyway she brought him over to my room for introductions. Eventually during that week we all hung out (our friends and Scott), got meals together, etc. I never paid much attention to him because I dealt with a lot of crappy guys and been in a lot of crappy relationships, so I wasn't looking for anything at the time. Truth be told I thought he was a little on the dweeby side  you know comp engineer and math major that screams dweeby to me ;) Anyway a few days after he left his cousin was up my butt telling me to email him and just write him. Appartently he liked me but was to shy to make the first move. Well after getting annoyed at the cousin I caved and wrote him so she would leave me alone. Ever since that first letter we have been together ever since and it has been about 7years :D He is my hunny bunny and I love him tons and tons lovicon

WOW!! So sweet!:)

I met my husband in August of 1990. I was 14 and a freshman at band camp, he was a junior. I really didn't think much of him but had my eye on another boy. We played the same instrument so that's how we met! Well, 2 months into the school year I was madly in love with him though he didn't share the feelings. Come to find out he had a girlfriend. :( So I spent that year just being. Skip to sophomore year and he's a senior. We became friends, by Christmas of that year we were pretty close and he asked me out, unfortuanately only lasted a month. But we stayed close. I still had the feeling he liked me, just was confused over his feelings for his ex. In June of 92 just after he graduated he asked me out again. He was driving me home from his graduation party when he asked and he said something like he hoped I wouldn't be upset but would I go with him again? UPSET!?!?! smashicon No way!! We have been together ever since and we got married in April 96. He's my first and only love. And he swears he remembers me walking into the bandroom for the very first time, I can't really dispute that since I didn't see him or pay him much attention at our first meeting. :p

Rowdy's Dad....what a great thread.

My husband and I were both...ummmm......motorcycle enthusists...yeah, that's the word. We were both from Colorado and had made the annual pilgramage to the king of all motocycle rallies in South Dakota. We laugh that we had to go that far to meet each other, and lived near each other all the time. That was 10 years ago and we have been married for 9 years on April 24th.

My story is kinda funny and I love telling it.

Where I used to work, we would have "Girls Night Out" once a month. We always went to the same bar, which was near me. One night, the other girls whined that they have to drive so far to get to this bar, they wanted to try another huge bar complex that had just opened. I relented.

We went to this bar, which was actually a collection of bars you could walk from one to another and it was all indoors. The night got boring and the girl I went with and I decided to go downtown to another bar. As we were walking out, my friend spotted a friend she went to high school with and we stopped to chat. Then I spotted him....he is quite tall and stood a head above everyone else. He had long hair (which was "in" then) and I said "whoooo...look at him!". Wendy (my friend) said, "Go say Hi". I declined and as he walked by, I looked up at him as he looked down at me....then I blurted out...."I love you". He turned and said "what??" ....the rest is history. (note: the phrase "I love you" was what my friends and I used to indicate our approval of the opposite sex. It means the same as "He's a hottie".)

That was November 17, 1995. We were married on November 17, 1997. Sweet ain't it?;)

Great thread!! I love to tell my story, so here it is:

I work for an insurance company and Justin had car insurance here. We had never met but he was buying a house and called to get homeowners insurance. He sounded cute and he kept calling the office to ask me stupid questions like, what's my payment? I kind of blew him off. I had ended a long relationship a couple of months before this so I was not in the mood to date. He kept calling and we had still never met. I mailed his application to him because I didn't want to have that awkard meet. He asked me to go to a baseball game and I said no. We started e-mailing eachother and calling eachother more. Something told me I had to meet this guy. He asked me out again and I said yes. Now mind you I am not the kind of person to do this. We made a date and I drove 30 minutes to his new house to meet him. I gave my family all of his information (SSN, address, phone number etc.) just in case he was a crazy person. We spend 12 hours together on our first date!! We have never looked back. I moved in 6 months after our first date and a little over a year after we met we got engaged. We are getting married 9/7/02 and I can't wait. I know he came into my life this way for a reason. He is truly my soulmate and can't wait to spend the rest of my life with him.

We always joke about how we met and how if I wouldn't have answered the phone we never would be together. It was meant to be.:) :)

I was dating someone that became a drag. There was beach party going on that night, (I just turned 19). I told this boyfriend "if you don't show up I don't know what will happen". He didn't show up and I met my future husband. I moved to his house 3 weeks later. 2 boys and 13 years, here we are......

I first met my husband when I was 17 and he was 20. He was in a local band and I was a barfly. :D Nothing really happened, we just hung out a lot since we were at the same clubs all the time. I lost track of him until one night, while out with my crappy ex-boyfriend, I bumped into Jeff. It was weird since we were in Austin and hadn't seen each other for years. But something struck me. We went out on our first date a few months later (after I dumped the crappy guy) and the rest is history.

Well I used to work in a bank and my hub was a customer. He worked for a company that maintained the mall near us, so one day a girl I worked with and myself went up there on our lunch hour to see him. He asked me how old I was and I was 28 at the time. He was 22. Sorry-too young for me! He didn't think so. He kept coming to the bank to do OTHER guys business-just an excuse to come in!
After I got to know him he was much more mature than 22. He wouldn't give up on me and we were married a year and a half later. It will be 9 years in April. Best thing I ever did in my life. (he never lets me forget that!)
