Sorry about the lack of update this weekend. I had grandparents visiting. My grandpa is 84 and my grandmother is 76 and they have been divorced for over 20 years, but chose to come and visit at the same time! They get along much better as friends though so it was a great weekend.
Miss Bea continues to do very well. She is eating great and has been trying to push boundaries and walk more than she should, but as long as she has company to snuggle with she is good. This gives us all an excuse to snuggle with her! lovicon At the moment she is barking at Coco Kitty who had the audacity to drink from the designated dog water bowl! Crazy cat! She should be shivering with fear at the ferocious sounds coming from Miss Bea (think chewbacca with a little Tasmanian devil mixed in & a wagging nub!) Coco however barely glances up from the water to acknowledge the puppy on guard.
Chula met Bea this weekend and it was not very good. :( Chula has very little tolerance for an injured female pup and was quite snappish. Bea was oblivious to this and wagged her nubby and tried to initiate play, but Chula was having none of it. We ended up keeping them separate as the tension was making Rocky defend Bea and I did not want to start WWIII in the house.
My grandfather who is NOT a dog person right away made fun of me for all my dogs (I see you added another one of those ugly flat faced dogs to your house). He says this with a twinkle as he enjoys driving me crazy. By Sunday he himself was taking Bea out and when she would not settle down he volunteered to park his rear on the couch so she would have a body to cuddle with and rest her hip! Yeah, he is a sucker for a flat face too! :p
Thank you guys for remembering Miss Bea! 1 week of post op recovery down, 3 to go!
