I rememeber someone mentioning how their little one would chase flys. Now, I see it in person. Diamond will spend hours chasing and trying to bite at them. And, when I go around trying to hit them, he looks at me like I am doing something wrong, like, "mom, don't hurt them, we have fun together!"

Hi Carla..
My Max also likes to eat everything. His nickname is pigboy, as he grunts a lot too. Another thing he does is somersalts. It's too funny. He'll run after Tyson and when he's too tired to chase him anymore, he'll tuck his head and roll over in the grass and lay on his side for about 5 seconds, like he's playing dead dog, then he'll get up and chase Tyson some more. My husband and I just about bust a gut laughing so hard.
Long story short. I just recently adopted a boxer, Zak, 2 years old, that was awaiting his death sentence at the dog shelter for nipping a toddler that was pulling on his ears. The owner left town and pass the dog onto a friend who didn't have a home for the dog. My husband and I had to give up a dog so we didn't want Zak to go homeless. It literally took weeks and several phone calls (one to the governor) to release Zak. The dog is not a vicious dog in no way. I just have one slight problem.. he pees in the house when we leave him alone. He doesn't do this while we are home. What can we do? Is he too old to train?
Your dog is not to old to learn not to pee in the house but it will probably take a while to teach him that it is not the right thing to do most of all never be harsh with him I adopted a male that was two and we had to retrain him on some things, be sure to take him out before you leave and make sure that he does his thing before you put him up and try not to leave him for more than a houir or two for a while if he mess up tell that he is a bad boy and take him out and don't bring him back in till he takes care of his bussiness but it will take time

Does anybody's Boxers seem to have a lot of sleep activty? Both of my dogs will do a sort of muted bark and leg jerking as if they were running in their dreams. My boy Murray is doing it right now!
I have seen other dogs do this, but my Boxers seem to do it more
often. I wonder if that is a sign of superior intelligence. He doesn't
look very smart when he has all four legs in the air and the lips are hanging the wrong way! I love these mutts!
Kidney beaning is the lovable thing that virtually all boxers do when they are sooooo happy to see you that their head and tail almost meet while they shake in that "boxer" way hence the shape of a "kidney bean".
My two do all of the above and then some. One of their most favorite things to do is DESTROY any stuffed toy they get. Also to dig holes to China. I almost forgot to mention that they are both Houdini's they have figured out how to open the chain link gates.
