Super Boxer
Kidney Beaning

I used to call my Buddy the "Donut Dog" because I thought he turned himself into a donut when he was excited to see me. That's what is called Kidney Beaning by the Boxerworld gang. It's when they turn themselves nose to stub! They look like kidney beans! It's the cutest thing and I think original to Boxers! :D

Traits showing through already !!

We just brought Dakota home yesterday. She is a dark brindle female, black mask, white markings. She is only 8 wks old.

Yes, she snores!! It's kind of a cute little puppy snore, not a "you can hear grandpa down the hallway" snore. :)

One of the first things I noticed about her, was how much she uses her paws while playing. She likes to hold you down and stand on your head!!

Dakota is also a snuggler. Using up all that puppy energy when playing takes a lot out of her, and she's napped at least 4 times today already. She simply REFUSES to lay by herself, she has to be close to someone. :)

She also just adores our kids. We have a 2 yr old, a 4 yr old, and another on the way...so it was very important to us to find a breed that does well with children. I think we made the right choice. :D

Suki, 10 weeks old uses her paws in a cat like manner, zips back and forth outside, rests her head on my arm when she is sitting in my lap, she springs up and down like she is on a springboard.

lots of tail chasing - my husband says he has just figured out that his is missing! Slaps you with his paw when he wants attention - WOO WOO's on command for playtime and lays on his back gnawing at thin air - kicking and growling!! What a nut!!

Boxer Booster
In the morning after my boyfriend leaves for work he will let Ginger out of her crate until I get up. As soon as she hears the door close she climbs up in the bed with me, and he doesn't allow her to get in the bed... it's sooo cute, she wants to snuggle with her mommy :D

Luca Brasi is driving me nuts

Luca (brindle male natural ears age 5 months) does everything that has been mentioned, he lays on his back, he snores so loud that he wakes himself up, slaps me with his paws when I'm not paying attention, uses his paws and nails to get me to pay attention, uses a pillow to lay his head down on, tries to catch any bug that flies - he once caught a big bee and got stung, he swelled up like a watermellon for a few hours. He also makes a great frisbee dog with the way he runs and leaps in the air. But the one thing that is driving me absolutely nuts is his barking. He doesn't bark at people outside, or people that come to the house, he barks at me when he wants something and he does not stop barking until he gets his way. He barks in my face if he's hungry, has to go outside, wants to play. He bites my feet, my hands (just nibbles) if I don't pay attention to his barking. He refuses to go to bed if the boys are still up. He'll cry and cry until he gets his way - he's a spoiled brat but absolutely loveable. Another thing he does which makes me laugh - when we go for our nightly walk, he always takes the leash in his mouth and leads me - he has to be in control.

oh no

one day when i got home maggie(boxer, female, natural ears, flashy brindle, docked) was holding down a pigon by it wings with her paws. I had to chase her around the backyard to get her to let go of the pigon. But finally I got her to let go. Thankfully the pigon wasn't hurt!appicon

Traits

My baby Otto (b. 5/1/01) is fond of chasing fallen leaves, since this is his 1st autumn it can be amusing unless he's on leash... then you can get quite a sholder jolt! Also, he's been doing this thing since the first day, that we call "the Otto-body experience" lying on his back asleep, anywhere and usually with his face in the "pressed against the glass" position. He loves to charge around the yard and comes directly at me only to just barely stop in time. He also does this horse-puff thing with his lips especially when he's holding something in his mouth and he wants to start a game of CHASE!! One day my son was wearing his new Superman PJs(cape attatched by velcro) when Otto came zipping by and snatched the cape off! He had the whole family chasing him to get the cape back. It's a good thing he's so cute... he gives that "don't be mad, I'm just a baby" look and we melt.

He's always had HUGE feet and we think he will grow to be a mighty giant. Though our vet said he'd get to 70#, he weighs more at 5 months than my 4 year old, now at 40#. I had a fellow Boxer owner tell me of a 90# Boxer male taking chemo at a local vet clinic. WOW!

He's the most excitable dog I've ever had. Mainly because he LOVES to meet new people and dogs, and wont give up even if they don't give him the time of day. He may not be the norm but he fits right in with our crew!!:) wackicon
