Funny that you should mention the snoring.....

just last night, we got our first sound of MAJOR snoring....<groan> ......I divorced a 'snorer' (albeit not for that reason) :D ..... my boyfriend hardly ever snores.....and I LIKED that!!!

But, like everyone else on this site, I'm already hooked on my Max. I wouldn't trade him in for the world!

Well I must say I have 3 Boxers, One of em is my ol man, he doesn't know he's a dog (shhhhh we wouldn't want to spoil it for em) One characteristic that my boxers have that I don't see on here is they r all photogenic, if there is a camera around, guarenteed they r going to be in that picture, lol.. another thing is

HAPPY BIRTHDAY Bud - March 18 - he is now an 8 yr old beautiful, fancy brindle male

HAPPY BIRTHDAY Cujo - March 25 - He's a wild n mischievious 2 yr old, fancy fawn male

Sox - I don't know when her bday is, she's a rescue boxer whom is around 4-5 years old

I will only own boxers from now on, they r the best with my kids, ages 5 and 3...

Ahh How Wonderful

Well, it has been a while since my last post to this forum, but I can tell you all it has been a fun year. We got our boxer baby in February of 2001. She has been a wonderful addition to our family. Lets see, she has the gas thing down to a tee, and she loves to shred important things; phonebook, telephone (while it is ringing) stuff like that. She barks uncontrollably at things that are all of a sudden different. Like if I put the garbage can in a different spot in my kitchen, she goes nuts. Oh, and she huffs all the time. Like she is saying "Hey what about me?" She has boxed my jaws so many times with those long clumsy legs and power bomb paws. OUCH! But I do have to disagree about one thing..she is not the photogenic type. Actually she huffs and rolls her eyes as if she is saying " Oh, she has that flashy thing again." and she goes and hides.
She is very protective of our family. I wouldn't trade her for anything in this world.

Boxers are so Funny!

I love my babies energy! I will take her out to go to the bathroom and she will just take off and run around like crazy! She has very bad GAS!!!! Does anyone else have this problem? She also has this stuffed monkey that she LOVES and she will not let anyone else touch it. She trys her hardest to wake me up on Saturday mornings, then when I finally do wake up she will fall asleep herself! She loves it when we chase her around the dining room table. Can you believe that she can jump a chain link fence! When me and my husband get home from work she is so excited she can jump as high as our heads! She is a snorer also. Summer also has the dream sounds , and shakes so hard! She scares me sometimes so I have to wake her up! Sometimes she doesnt watch where shes going, like when im about to feed her she is so busy looking at the food in my hand she will run right into the wall! :D I also let her sleep at the foot of the bed. She has ever since she was a puppy. Pure Angel. I couldnt say enough good things about her! Wouldnt trade her for anything.

Beau pretty much has all the traits listed above. Especially the huffing at us, his favorits place to sleep is cuddled either between my legs or up next to them. Either way it's not always comfortable for me :( , then again it's not my comfort that counts.

He absolutely loves apples. He'll steal them out of the fruit basket if we leave them out. If I'm eating an apple he'll sit and drool on me until I give him a bite, or the rest of it.

He's also an escape artist. We've had to 'Beau Proof' the backyard and make sure there is no place he can squirm under or over to get out.smashicon Scares me to death the few times he's managed to go galavanting around the neighbourhood.

But despite all his bad habits I love him to bits and wouldn't trade him for anything.

Happy

Everyone is forgetting one trait, how they are so happy and always wagging their tails (stubs), many of them seem to get their whole back into the swing.
My boxer seems to go to bed at about 8:30 PM and gets up at about 6 AM. Not a good thing on the weekends
