My boxer babe Harley has all the traits that I've seen written here so far. I think they are wonderful animals. She is the best friend I could ask for. The woo woo song ya'll talk about is just adorable isn't it?

Our Harley girl has all the traits we have seen so far. Especially, the flea biting at her daddys feet to get him to play. He cant resist
playing because she is so dang cute and persistant. And she does not like to be told NO she will talk back and try to convince you she is right. She also runs around like a crazed missle knocking over or hitting anything in her path. But one thing is for sure boxers are the sweetest most lovable most adorably hyper kids... and we wouldnt have it any other waybeericon

My Jake does the flea biting too. On me that is! He will nibble on my ear or at my chest like he's defleaing me. It's cute but sometimes he'll accidentally get a piece of skin as he nibbles.

priceless!

My 2 older ones have a lot of the boxer traits, and I'm noticing more and more in our little girl Holly each day since we've had her.

Belle is the champion kidney beaner of the bunch...she wiggles non-stop :) She doesn't like to be on her back much as she's the dominant one of the pack, but she does stick her chest and tummy in the air for tummy rubs when she's so inclined. Belle is the nibbler of the bunch too..she does the gentle biting/nibbling on Copper or on us when she wants to play. Doesn't really use her teeth, just gums LOL

Copper is also a wiggler, but his most obvious boxer trait is his wooo wooo song, and he's a very vocal dog in general. He always talks back when told NO, and even more when he's told QUIET lol. He has an entire vocabulary different sounds.
He almost always ends up sleeping on his back with his paws up in the air.

Holly, even at 10 weeks of age is quite the kidney beaner herself. Her little behind wiggles excitedly when around us or the other dogs. She pounces and boxes the other 2. As for sleeping, she also likes to roll over on her back with paws up in the air.

Some other traits I've noticed common to all three ...some not so pleasant ones I might add LOL..
they're all very affectionate cuddlers, and very kissy
they're all quite..umm..flatulent
and they all snore!

I agree

MIne are kidney beaners big time. It is so cute. Greta the little one is getting more affectionate as time goes on. She loves to talk. when she is told to hush up or no she has to have the last word which is cute after the fact. I love the kidney beaning it is so cute and I just love it. The woo woo thing is cute but Greta sounds like a hound dog if you ask me. tank is the woo woo boy. They are so cute and you just have to love them. :p :D :)

dancing and prancing

Anyone's boxer prance? I have Jake at a trainer this week and she noticed he prances and if you are heeling him and say "dance" (and do marching band type steps), he'll prance along side you like the dressage horses. Really cute!

My Roxy loves to have her belly rubbed. It's so funny, if your hand is hanging off the couch she will come up and position herself for you to rub her belly. Also, what is a jackhammer? I've never heard of it? Other than that, little Roxy does all the cute little things that only boxers do.

My four month old already shows me all of these traits mentioned. I do have question. What is kindney beaning? Must be new to me. I have a older dog and they get along great. A funny thing my puppy will do is crough down to the ground like a hunting lion thinking the older dog cant see her and when she runs by Angel(my 4 mo. old pup) she lunges at her and jumps at her back. Makes me laugh everytime and then their playing again for awhile.

Hi All,
I also don't know what the jack hammer is or the kidney bean (I'm assuming that is when they wiggle so far they almost fold themselves in half) If anyone would care to enlighten me :)

Baron is just over 4 months now and I have only heard the woowoo song once from him.
He likes to sleep on his back during the day but curls right up a night.
He is very flatulant, and makes big burps after eating or drinking :o
He also likes to lay next to the heating vents (after he tries to catch the air) or infront of the woodstove.
He loves to fetch although he won't always bring the toy or stick back to us :)
He also likes to curl up in our lap when we are on the floor with him - although he is getting a bit big for that now!
And he prances when he walks at a quick pace (in training), our obedience trainer asked if he had show dogs in his blood because of the way he walks. (Infact his father was a showdog, are those mannerisms hereditary?)

:D Wendy & Baron
