Boxer in bed??

I love having Layla in bed with me. Even if it means that I don't always have the most comfortable positions or enough blankets. In my opinion there is nothing better than waking up and cuddling and kissing this soft warm lovable baby. It just fills my heart...

I think that is just it. I can't imagine sharing my hubby with the dog. Like I said before "we'll see". But, I can already tell, ya'll are a HUGE group of doggie lovers. I like dogs (and I love Leila) but I don't think I am to par with all of your fanaticism ...

Yes, you are right, that is what my boyfriend (we live together), Mark is for! But with Asia in bed it makes it even better! Even though a man does help to warm a bed at night, a furbaby makes it even warmer and love-ier (yeah I know that isn't a word, haha)!

I don't share Mark with Asia, and Mark doesn't share me with Asia. It's not a jealousy/having to share factor for us ... its the love of our little furbaby! You're missin' out but I understand your point of view!

I've always let Cosworth sleep with me.

What's funny though is that if he's upset with me (usually for something "outragous" like not taking him to the dog park in the middle of a thunderstorm ) he'll "hold out" and go to sleep on the couch.

Of course, he always ends up on the bed before morning. :D

You are not alone. I love my furbabies very much also but they don't sleep in bed with us. While growing up I shared my bed with many Miniature Poodles and they were great but I just had reservations because of how much bigger the Boxer gets. The other thing is my husband grew up without any dogs in the house whatsoever. So he was dead set against a dog in bed. Both our female and male sleep on their own big pillows. Our female sleeps next to my side of the bed and our male sleeps in my son's room next to the bed. Don't feel sorry for them because they are allowed on the furniture and very often my younger son will sleep on the floor with them at night before bed. They are very spoiled and get lots of cuddles. I would definately have to give up my spot on the bed if they were to join us because my female is 48lbs and my male is 80lbs and we only have a double bed. I think my hubby would rather share with me than the dogs. HAHA!!!

My dh likes Roxy in the bed and I did too....UNTIL she peed on the bed. I then got the advise on here to invite her on the bed and such so she is no longer "allowed" on the bed until she gets into it while we are already asleep......we do wake up with her on the bed every morning.

I totally agree, there's nothing better then waking up and squeezing your doggie. I love sleeping with my zoey, she's so soft and squeezable. I guess everyone's different and it's ok if you sleep with them or not. Either way, boxers are the best!

When we got Bubba we had good intentions with the crate thing except he kept crying and I couldn't stand it, My hubby went and got him and he slept with us and has ever since I can't stand the thought of him being in that crate, so when we got Bella we just took her to bed too Lucky for her she never has known any diffrent..I just love waking up in the morning and they are there with me...

[Diesel Dog]

Diesel gets left out. He used to sleep with us when he was younger, but has been sleeping on his pillow for a while now at night. Don't get me wrong if I goto bed early he goes with me until GF comes to bed, and when I get up in the morning he takes my spot and cuddles up with her, but just can't do it all night. he takes up too much space and someone has to sleep in a ball. But we I got home saturday morning, from being gone overnight, he was sleeping between the GF & her mom it was so cute.

At first, Tessa was not allowed in our bed while we were sleeping. Notice I said at first! Now, she usually tells us when it is time to get in bed with her! At times, it can get crowded, but we do what we can to make her comfortable. Seriously, though, when she isn't in bed with us, it seems so strange. Granted, we are now looking for a King size bed!!

I understand your thoughts on the subject, but I think you're missing out. They do make great bed buddies!
