I notice you're in SC, as are we, and my husband is a cop as well! Or will be, soon...this is week 8 of the 9 at the academy and I can't wait for him to be home!!!

Allie is crate trained and generally sleeps in her crate. There are times when she sleeps with us though. She always sleeps with me when DH (who is in the military) is away. We would like to have her sleep with us at other times, but with 2 adults and one big dog in a double bed- sleep isnt very restful. She will stay with us for a few hours, then we put her in her crate!! We did just buy a king size bed, so I forsee more nights with our cuddle bug with us. And, since we are looking to get a second, we may have 2 babies with us.

I read somewhere that 40% of people with dogs let their dogs in the bed. I was so relieved. I used to be too embarrassed to admit it! I can't believe we used to make Garvin sleep all alone downstairs in the garage (I feel so bad) but then my fiance went away for 3 weeks so mummy let him in the bed and he's been there ever since.... Until we got a new sofa so I put the old one in the bedroom with his ruggy and lambskin and now he'd rather sleep on that. Lucky I still have the cat. Garvin also likes to get into bed with anyone who stays over. Strangely enough this is not always appreciated. Go figure

We too started off with the intention of not letting Dakoda on the bed. My fiancee's family has an overweight mini schnazuer that slept with us and it was bad enough trying to move her, so I was determined not to let her on there aswell.

I thought she was doing great until I realised on the fifth day of having her home that she was being tucked under Jonathan's arm at aroung 2am every morning. Once I knew she was there we fighted over her got to cuddle her!

She has to be warm all the time and now not only makes it under the covers but pushes BOTH of us off our electric blanket spots (its winter over here). Poor Prue (schnazuer) is now on a recliner and Im pricing king size beds.

Wouldnt change it for the world.
