Why'd you name your boxer that?

Anyone seen the show 'Party of Five'???

Remember gorgeous Scott Wolfe? His character's name was Bailey....

My best friend, whom I adopted Bailey from, LOVED that show -

I came up with the name Prince Zion. I always wanted a dog named prince (I think it sounds royal). Growing up I never got to name any of my dogs. I named him Zion because most everyone in my family are Christians. Zion means "In the presence of God". So really Prince Zion means "Prince in the presence of God".

My name

I named Tino Martini Soho after Tino Martinez, first baseman for the Yankees, and Louis Soho, greatest utility player for the Yankees! I'm a huge Yankees fan and as soon as i saw him i new it'd be a great name for him! It's strong and friendly at the same time because Tino's my cuddly baby! :)

Completely Boxer Crazy
BF's previous boxer was called "Modesty" after Modesty Blaise (sexy female action hero from comic strip). Modesty Blaise's partner is Willy Garvin, but since the BF already has a son called Will, the puppy was called 'Garvin". I didn't care at the time I think I said "I don't like dogs I'm a cat person I'm not going to feed it or pick up after it how dare you bring home a dog" Well guess who's cooking & picking up poos... How can you not love em?

Ok, how original is this??? Sam! Ha! Acutally his full name is Sam I Am! Here's the story.....my hubby and I were trying to decide between the male & female in the litter and I was driving him crazy agonizing over "which one." Finally in frustration my hubby said. "Ok, I'm making a decision, we're getting the male and we're naming him Sam!" LOL! (It was actually said in jest - just whatever popped into his head at the moment.) I remember saying Sam? How boring! But then the more I thought about it I loved just plain-ol-Sam.

However, I have multiple names for him...Scooby, Booger, Boo, I could go on and on..... hee hee!

Named after two former Mariners that happened to be on the 1995 team that knocked the Yankees out of the ALCS. Randy Johnson and A-Rod were also on that team.

The cats were named after names in classic rock titles. Daughters cat Molly,(Good Golly Miss Molly), then my two are Mabel (Mabeline) and Lucy (Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds). MY daughter kept with the Beatles in naming Rita, so I thought I would stick with that. She was going to be called Lady Madonna, but the only part of that name that fit her was Maddie. She was such a mad dog when she was little. I still haven't come up with a registered name for her. This is harder than naming the kids. Any suggestions?

Lives4Fuego

Fuego

My ex actually named him (we got Fue when we were together and then fought for him after the break up)...anyway Fuego was the marriage of our two passions....he is a firefighter and I speak/study/love the Spanish language....so Fuego (being Fire in Spanish) was the name we decided on....now I have Fue full time....Kind of sad, but the name really suits him...he's a brindle but he's sort of a reddish fawn with the stripes, so he looks like smoke and flame....

Jonathan got Dakoda's name from a girl he works with and we loved it straight away. We asked EVERYONE we came across as we picked her out of the litter but had to wait 2 weeks to get her.
Before that suggestion, the best I could come up with was Crumpet and no one was going to let me call her crumpet!!! So its her middle name now!
We call her Ducky most of the time because she always getting into everything Dakoda is too long sometimes!

My puppy Charlie

We named our puppy Charlie for a couple reasons; 1. I LOVE chocolate so he is Charlie & lives in our chocolate factory of a home. 2.If you look he has a Charlie Chaplin mustache, hehehe, thought it was cute.

My hubby wanted to name him Elvis, but it didn't really fit.

I can't wait for him to come home, only 1 month to go until he is old enough.

Scout'nAbout

Boxer Booster
My girl is named Scout because I am a huge To Kill a Mockingbird fan.

I always had plans to use some names from the book for pets and I had always wanted a birman (cat) boy to name Atticus (just figured that name really suits a regal kind of cat), but when I was finally able to get my first birman, all the breeder had left was females so that didn’t work and I ended up with Lily (Tigerlily) - whom I love dearly regardless of her sex or name.

After my precious Rottie (Ishkah) passed away and I was finally ready for a new puppy, I knew I wanted a female and she was going to be named Scout.

I hope to get another boxer in the next few years and name it Jem. That might help folks realise that my Scout is a girl and not a boy...maybe!
