Why'd you name your boxer that?

We named our bitch Togan from the day we went to the breeder and put our name down for a pup. Finally she was born and we had our first look at her when she was a week old. How cute was she then. But the name suddenly didnt seem right. Her daddy was called buster but the breeders main male dog was Harley. So my son, who was into bands like blink 182 etc at the time was wearing a Hurley T-shirt, so as it was his 13th birthday present he chose the name Hurley. Some people think we named her after the actress Elizabeth Hurley but i can assure you we didnt.

House full of boxers

Hi! I have four boxers, a scottish terrier and a cat. All of our animals play together and it's so cute.

Our boxers include: Niko Ali -flashy fawn male; Phoenix Diablo -white female; Chopper -flashy brindle male; and Jewels Heiress-flashy fawn female. I believe my fiance and I gave our dogs strong, unique names and I wish everyone else would as well.

I'm so tired of hearing names like Lady, Lexie, Roxy, and Duke! Be creative people! Make your boxer stand out and be special!

Cool Name

I named my little guy syxx. He got his name because I am a HUGE Mark Martin fan and he drives the 6 car in the Nascar Nextel Cup.

Zoe is the name she came with from the rescue. It fits her well. Good thing because I would have called her something silly like Puppyhead or Pumpkin Pie.
She always makes silly puppy faces and she is colored like pumpkin pie with whipped cream.

Our girl already had her name when we got her. Her Paper name is California's Chula which we were told Chula means beauty or pretty in Spanish. We thought about changing it but like many others that have adopted we didn't want to put her through all those changes and she already came to the name which was one less thing to worry about with a puppy. Chula has grown on us now and we often call her chula-bula in the tune of that song wooly-bully(I think thats how you spell it) she prolly thinks I am nuts but oh well.

Paddy Max, his named after Peter Kay( not sure if he;s known in the US) but he is hilarious and had a show called' Max and Paddy's road to nowhere'.Its the funniest thing i have ever watched.Any hoo..hence Paddy Max..we switched as it had a better ring to it.Anyway we must have had a sixth sense cos PADDY makes me howl with laughter too..

Why did we name our boxer his name?

My son who's a college student named him Drake. Meaning small dragon. He had NO idea what kind of pup we were buying for him. We just bought him the pup for Christmas. Drake lasted at the University 2 months and has now come home to live the life of luxury with Mom and Dad! When my son named him Drake, I said ugggg, choose something cuter.....Well, after all this time, training, love and affection for him, Drake indeed fits....Funny how things work out.

Halo Cortana

I have had so much fun being new and reading the posts and all the cute names. We decided to name our 9 week old baby girl Halo Cortana. We call her Halo though for short. We met playing an online Xbox game called Halo. Then when we were looking through puppy name ideas someone found Halo and we joked about it but after about a week of thinking of names it just kept coming back to us as a funny and good name. And Cortana is the pretty halograms name in the game. Halo fit perfectly to our little girl when you look at the description of the game and then her its perfect..

The GAME: it is a fighting type game that takes some strategy, skill, and alot of fast movements and bouncing around. Many use camoflauge to get the jump on the other plays and some boxing during close range combat.

Halo (the pup): Brindle markings friends say she came pre-camo'd for the game.. She loves running at like 90 mph and bouncing around the yard. and when in close play with our big huskey she stands up on her back legs and boxes all the time. And when she can't figure out how to get on the couch since she is too small, she figures out if she stacks up the pillows or climbs on the other dog she can get up there.

The two were ment for each other.

Jackson took a while for us to name. We wanted a name that was cute while he is real little and cute but also a strong name for when he is grown up. We went through so many names just trying them out to see if they fit. Then I was looking at a stack of cds and Alan Jackson was on top. We tried out the name and it fit! His AKC name is Action Flash Jackson and it is totally him! He is so busy and full of energy so Action fits and the Flash is for is flashy fawn markings.
