Sandy
We picked Sandy because I wanted something unique & original! :D
Sandy came to live with us when she was 11 months old. At that time she was called Adrian. Her fancy name is Absolutely Radiant Adrian and she is radiant. IMHO. But for some reason we all had trouble remembering it and she didn't respond to it anyway. I kept calling her every A name in the book except Adrian. For some unknown reason I have trouble with A names. I drive a school bus which is loaded with Ashley's, Amber's, Allie's, Amanda's, Alyssa's and I have a hard time keeping all the A names straight at work too. We debated for a week weather to change her name or not. My son didn't think it was fair to change it even though he wanted too. When we realized she didn't answer to her name anyway we decided to change it & then couldn't agree on a new name for another week or so. So it looked like she was going to Adrian by default. Until one morning as we were all headed out the door the name Sandy popped into my head so I suggested it and no one had any objections! I asked the pooch "How would you like to be called Sandy?" and she didn't object either so she's been Sandy ever since. She started answering to it in just a couple of days too.
