Why'd you name your boxer that?

My husband named our first boxer Precious because of the second movie of the lord of the rings,besides she is Precious. Our second girl boxer is named Layla because she is all fawn and with the black mask (Layla means dark beauty) and our third baby Chico ( Chico means Guy in english) a pitbull we got when he was 9 months old he was been abused and the name just seem to fit him plus he is the only guy.

Hummer because he's a giant boy (88lbs) big square blockhead with huge jowels and long legs too. Hummer fit him perfectly.
He's our Hummy Boy or our HoHum
He was a rescue his name was Snoop Dog. I didn't like that at all
and I also didn't think it fit him to well.

 

[Miss Monty]

Honeymoon

We named our Monty (Miss Monty Carrington is her full/registered name) after another dog. We saw a cute French Bully in the Virgin Islands on our honeymoon last month. The original Monty was soooo cute (not as cute as ours though) and we named our puppy that so we'd always remember our honeymoon. We added the "Miss" and name "Carrington" beacuse we liked the way it all sounded together.

We named our baby Ares after a greek god and because she was my birthday present and my sign is Aries. So I just picked the spelling that was different.
but I should of named her petunia cuz she wont stay out of flowers.....

we named maverick after maverick in top gun ya know tom cruise. well my fiance resembles tom cruise and his favorite movie is top gun so we thought that was cute. my sister and brother in law were going to get a boy and name him goose.

 

[Independence]

We named Indy (Jopa's Independence Day) Jopa is the kennel name and we picked him up on the 4th of July.

Bubby was named after Bubby Brister quarterback of the Pittsburgh Steelers at the time and Babs had her name before we even met her. Bubby needed a friend and we kept telling him we were looking for his Babs.

Actually we changed our new boxer's name 4 times in 4 days. Finally we settled on Annie, because she was an orphan picked up by the humane society (Little Orphan Annie). Her most recent name prior to that was Darla because she was a "little rascal" (Darla is the girl in Little Rascals). So, when I got home the other day my wife informed me that her name was Darla again because of some antics she performed during my wife's nap (knocked over a coffee cup and snatched some candy). So, while her official name in Annie, we still call her Darla when she earns it.

Mr. Napoleon Dynamite

There are so many names to choose from, but to pick one that just stands out is what I was after!!! I have been writing down names, but none of which my bf and I could seem to agree on. Until finally I thought of the quirky movie we watched called "Napoleon Dynamite". It was either that or Vote for Pedro, with Pedro for short. I thought Cashus Clay and Cash for short would be cute. then you could get a baby girl and name her layla ali! how cute would that be???? Anyways, Napoleon fits with leo for short since I am a leo baby, and he's my leo baby!

My hubby named Killian after... (any beer drinkers have probably already guessed).... Killians Red beer. He was a very red brindle as a pup (it has gotten mottled and a bit duller with age.) so that is why he named him Killian. And it just sounds so cool. We have never met another Killian.
