Mine run in the animal naming theme I had going when I them----I already had cats named Linus and Lucy. Violet is a minor character and I had a pretty intense African violet obession going before I got the cats. Then when I knew I was getting a male--I ran through the list of options and Charlie Brown won. Which is funny because this Charlie Brown is constantly in search of approval (or attention ) too.

Dutch was named by my husband because he loves all things German (cars ect.) but I didn't want him to be named the word deutch so he became Dutch!

Grace Kelly

My boxer's registered name is The Country Girl after a movie Grace Kelly was in so her breeder started calling her Grace. Apparantly her Granddaughter really liked the show Will and Grace too. I thought about changing her name to Tracy but when I asked my 3 year old he like Grace better. Gotta listen to the little ones ya know!!

Fammo was named after the Australian boxer, Johnny Famechon. And yes the canine Fammo and the pugilistic Fammo met...

Buzz is simple. It was my grandfather's nickname, and Buzz arrived not long after my grandfather departed...

Oscar

We called our boy Oscar because my father is a jazz pianist and his favourite artist is Oscar Peterson. The name just seemed to suit him so much.

Love the name Vegas - it really sounds like a boxer name!

My is Tazmanian Devil we call him Taz or as my little 2 year old cousin says Tazzy for short. We called him Taz because he is a brindle and it just seemed to fit with his demenur.

Guinness got his name because he is the colors of Guinness...and he has a big wihte "G" on his chest, I'm not sure if I have pictures of that in my gallery. I have a feeling I've posted here before...can't keep track when these are so long...the mind is the first to go!

 

[Plato]

We picked up Plato recently from Boxer Rescue group where he had been for 2 years. While his name is not one I would have personally chosen for him, he answers to it...so we are stuck with it. I have noticed we can pretty much call him any name that ends in "o" in that silly dog voice we all use and he responds!
The neighborhood kids really get a kick out of Plato's name, they must be thinking it's spelled " Play-doh"
