Why'd you name your boxer that?

Weell.. Tati was the only name my DH and i agreed on. .. she was nameless (ie: "puppy") for a week or two, until we had to take her to the vet for shots, and we _had_ to have a name. also, DH is *convinced* that the guy we got her from was russian (i personally think he had a different accent..) and Tati comes from the nickname for tatiana, which is russian.

And the Captain - well, he has the brindle eye patch, so we wanted something pirate-y. We're still not entirely sure if he'll stay 'Captain Aarg' - he hasn't come home yet (not yet 6 weeks old) and is possibly deaf (breeder says sometimes he looks like he responds to noise, other times not). If he is deaf, tho, we're going to call him 'Radar'.

very late in posting to this thread...but since I just joined, thought I'd add my 2 cents.. My Pom/Eskie mix is named Beamer and when we bring home our baby boy, he will be named Foster. Both my husband and I are grads of Virginia Tech and Frank Beamer is the head coach of our beloved Hokie football team and Bud Foster is the defense coach... Go Hokies!! :D LOL

Ruby because my girls a classic red/fawn, Luka because I've always loved it and then found it meant light, and Angel because thats what sprung to mind as soon as I saw her!

We had a picture of the pup I had picked out, my girlfriend and I were going back and forth trying to come up with a name and I wanted it to have a person name.....i wanted hank or bob....and she said no....and after about a half hour going back and forth.....and a few beers....she said Reggie....and I started laughing so hard my eyes started watering.....maybe it was more then a few beers. For some reason a dog named Reggie is hilarious to me....

Kaybie is named after my only sister (only sibling also). Her name was Kellie Brooke and so I took her initials K.B. and turned it into Kaybie. My sister was only 27 years old and just passed away October 27, 2005 after battling breast cancer. I feel honored to be able to have named my baby after my best friend, my sister.

Kinda Embarrassing

We wanted something that sounded mafia like and Frankie sounded pretty good. The only thing is I didnt even realize that my uncles name is frankie. I took frankie to a family gathering. And when they heard me use his name they started cracking up. They have a knickname for my uncle and its Pancho. So in turn now my frankie has a knickname with my family and its Pancho. They alway ask, hey how pancho doing. Then carmella just fit with frankie, we got that name from the Sopranos show on HBO.

When I seen sammy, my boyf handed him to be *it was a surprise, I just said ah Sammy my new baby.... It came out of no where.

my new baby now has lots of puppy fat on his back, so cute, I called him jake after Jake and the fatman!
