We wanted to choose a German name so I researched it on the internet and came across a list that had Garin which means warrior...

Lola's mum

Boxer Insane
My Dh chose the name Lola, he just liked it and Zebedee from the British old childrens tv programme The magic Roundabout as he was very bouncy and springy, just like boxers ;)

Ruby was named by her breeder, but our last boxer was called Jade as in Gem so It seemed kind of fate that we picked another precious gem, so we kept it as Ruby (Doo).

Helga the Rottie-

I'm glad there's another Harry Potter fan out there!
My dad named Hagrid, which is a man's name, but it fits her personality perfectly (she is a big sweetie!)
I chose Tonks because she is one of my fav. characters and it turns out they have the same personality! They mean well, but are not always the most graceful. I plan to carry on the theme with my next boxer-which won't be for a long time.

Hagrid- fawn, floppy, 2 years

We originally wanted to name our little girl Molly, but that's the name of one of our neighbors--didn't think that would go over too well!!

We decided that we should pick something along the lines of Ginger because of her coloring . . . but we wanted something that ended in a Y (don't really know why!) so we altered Ginger to Ginny! :)

Vegas

I named my little girl Vegas because I thought it suited her personality perfectly... she's crazy and fun like Vegas. Also, even though I've seen a few with the same name on this thread, I have yet to find another dog in our circle named Vegas and I think it's unique and strong... the perfect name for such a unique and strong breed. It just screams personality and we all know that boxer's have enough personality to go around... and around... and around...lol!!

We named her Zia !!!

Our roots are from the state of New Mexico, my kids wanted a name that could also be drawn. We lost Zia last week, but her spirit was as special as her name. She embodied the Zia symbol, that is...in this great brotherhood of all things, man has four sacred obligations: he must develop a strong body, a clear mind, a pure spirit, and a devotion to the welfare of his people.

New Mexico's distinctive insignia is the Zia Sun Symbol, which originated with the Indians of Zia Pueblo in ancient times. Its design reflects their tribal philosophy, with its wealth of pantheistic spiritualism teaching the basic harmony of all things in the universe.

Four is the sacred number of Zia, and the figure is composed of a circle from which four points radiate. These points made up of four straight lines of varying length personify the number most often used by the Giver of all good gifts.

To the Zia Indian, the sacred number is embodied in the earth, with its four directions; in the year, with its four seasons; in the day, with the sunrise, noon, evening, and night; in life, with its four divisions--childhood, youth, manhood, and old a ge. Everything is bound together in a circle of life and love, without beginning, without end.

The Zia believe, too, that in this great brotherhood of all things, man has four sacred obligations: he must develop a strong body, a clear mind, a pure spirit, and a devotion to the welfare of his people.

Guided by this historic background, the flag of New Mexico was wisely chosen, with the ancient Zia Sun Symbol in red on a field of Spanish yellow. The symbol's proportions are fixed by legislative act, with the four groups of rays set at right angles , the two inner rays one-fifth longer than the outer rays. The diameter of the circle in the center is one-third the width of the symbol.

We miss this great creature we had for only 5 years.....

We named Dozer because he slept alot so he was A "Dozer" but when he was awake he would run over you like a Bull"Dozer". Diesel was named because he gets Dozer all wound up so we thought it was funny that Bull Dozers run on Diesel fuel. So "Diesel" is the fuel to get our Bull"Dozer" going!

Molly Rae

Well Molly was the name the breeder had given my baby and in truth while i thought about it for what seems like ages it really suits her. She's all cute and girl like (which comes to my mind when i think of molly) and the Rae for when she's being crazy... works well.. :)
