England and France were mixed - business and visit relatives. Relatives in England and business in France...but not my own. I was preteen then. I think 12. So i'd love to go back now and be able to appreciate it more.

Medjugoria was for a religious trip.

Philippines was again for business and relatives. STayed 2 1/2 months. Both educating and miserable! I was a teen then, so being away the whole summer from my friends was quite a pain in the ass.

Mexico trips were pure vacation!

We almost took an Alaskan cruise this past year. Trip got cancelled at the last minute because we bought a house....so couldn't afford it :-(! But...we plan on taking it one day! That's one place I've always wanted to go to.

The each place i've been had it's own reason for being beautiful i guess...

Ones that stand out the most in my head -

Medjugoria - Yugoslavia : I think it was the whole reason we were there and the general feel of the place at the time that made it beautiful.

Philippines - Bagu (spelling) was nice. Up in the mountains. Very nice weather temps.

France - I was too young still, but the Tower was cool to visit. Overall the weather was just too gloomy. I did find the nudity on tv to be interesting (come on! I was teenage boy)

England - Cornwall was nice, but London and others I didn't find anything too special. Again, I was rather young...so I know I'd definitly appreciate it more today.

Mexico - Whats not beautiful about Clear blue waters and white sandy beaches? Mayan Ruins was an excellent trip

Grand Cayamen - Only stopped there ona cruise and did the Stingray City tour. Very awsome to swim with the stingrays.

A few other places but nothing worth mentioning come to mind. I've always wanted to visit Spain, Greece and Italy. One day...

definitely venice-that city was just breathtaking and so unique although the French Riviera (Nice, Monaco, etc) is definitely a close second.... Actually, I 've been so many places that I'm having trouble choosing now that I've started thinking about it! I'm just gonna stick with Venice!

Reny, thank you for your response....The Alaskan cruise is on my to do list as well :D I would love to take the train tour land excursion also thru Alaska...friends have taken this cruise and said it was the best ever trip ;) One couple's cruise ship hit ice and helicopters had to air lift all the passengers to the nearest town  They said that was quite an experience....

Barb,
The only reason I get to travel is because I'm in the Army so I did have to sacrifice for all my travels. :p

I know this isnt as exotic as some of the other replies but for me it would be New York City. Ive never had any place fill me with such energy.

I like archeology so for me Angkor Wat in Cambodia was spectacular and the trip overland from Thailand was spectacular as well. The scenery in the countryside was very beautiful. Phuket, Thailand was beautiful as well.

I'd have to say either Kauai... the Napali Coast line... Or Maui... all of the Hawaiian islands are beautiful.

But one of the most beautiful places on earth is right here in Utah. Moab is gorgeous... the red cliffs, and the desert landscape is breathtaking. They film a lot of movies out there in the desert.
