Iguazu (between Argentina and Brazil) is one of the best places I visited, the falls are very impressive and beautiful. I will post pictures this weekend once my computer is back.
I also like cities like London, Paris, San Francisco, NYC and Sevilla. I would love to visit Guatemala and Mexico one day.

Completely Boxer Crazy
I love to travel and have been lucky enough to do quite a bit of it. When I was 13 I spent two weeks in France (so many beautiful things to see) and a week in Mexico. Its hard to pick the most beautiful place I have been, its a toss up between Maui and home (Alaska), there are so many places here that are amazing. Two places I am determined to visit though are New Zealand and England.

Tolo, Greece!

The most beautiful place I've ever visited would have to be Tolo, Greece.

In an effort to make history come alive, I took a small group of 6th, 7th, and 8th graders on an international field trip to: Rome, The Vatican, and Pompeii, Italy; Athens, Tolo, Olympia, Mycenae, Epidarus, Delphi, Greece in June '01. We ferried overnight from Italy to Greece.

Here is a very small sampling of pics from that trip:

Linda & Lenore: with my computer almost fixed now, I will upload more photos of the falls in Iguazu tonight. As they are large waterfalls, they are in fact cataracts like the falls in Niagara or Victoria but Iguazu is almost twice higher than Niagara falls and also almost twice wider than Victoria falls. If you watched the movie "The Mission" with Robert De Niro, the falls are from Iguazu.

Basak: great pictures! When will you show us pictures taken by you from Istanbul? You have many great places there :)

Cheri: very nice pictures! After a great trip like that, I bet all your students studied well history :D
I went to Athens and Delphi in the '80 and enjoyed the trip. So much to see there. It was during the summer and very hot. I remember the heat & pollution killed several old people that summer.

Amen to that!! I wish all my dysfuntional friends would move so I could go back!! I am thinking of going camping in Grand Mesa this spring... Ahhhh. Rockies, don't get any better!!!!

Another AMEN to the Rockies....they go for miles and miles- -you have to respect that!!
Maui and yes the chopper ride thru Hana is wonderful. Sunsets there are amazing, the sunrise is pretty incredible there too.
2nd Colorado, just breathtaking.
3rd Washington State and the Cascades.

Pics from Maui and Chopper ride can be found here:

The albums with the best pics are titled "Maui 3 has 64 photos" or "Maui has 89 photos"

Olly, my "falls" in Maui are drips next to the beautiful pics you took. There is one place in the Hana Rainforest called the Wall of Tears, that was something, but the pic didn't turn out due to the rain ant it looks like lines of rain on the windows of the chopper, but it's waterfalls.

If you LOVE the beach and RESORT type of getaway Cuba and the Dominican Rep. are a MUST!.. I had a fabulace time and spent my days either running thro the water <the water in Cuba is AMAZING you can walk and walk for a long while and the water will be waist high for AGES and its WARM> or basking in the sand.. I have found the people to always be friendly t'ward us.. altho some travelers have complained about one of the other... in Cuba I have been to Varadero and Cayo Coco.. there is quite a bit of differance.. our Cayo Coco resort was COMPLETLY seperated from the people living in Cuba.. it was for resorts only and you stayed in ur resort unless you took a bus trip... Varadero on the other hand... has resorts that are quite close to one another and are not seperated by any fencing or nething... it is quite close to Havana <which in my opinion is worth seeing.. but with a guide>.... the Mountains in Poland are also a wonderful thing to see... the Baltic Sea is a beautiful place but the water is absolutly FREEZING! lol
