Olly, when you live in Istanbul, all you want to do is get out of here;)

I love this city, it's so much fun and amazing and you find something new everyday! I just have to organize myself one day to take those pictures. See, I see those things all the time, take them for granted.

Cheri, those are beautiful pics! I want to go to Greece so bad, my grandmother is from Crete (hope I wrote this right) and those Greel islands are so near to Turkey coast, you would not believe!!!! You can literally swim to those islands. But, I had to get a new passport to enter Greece, don't ask- bull#@&t politics! I have it now, just have to wait for hubby to come back:p

I havent been far, but for mine and Joshs honeymoon we went to Niagra Falls. It was so beautiful. All of the pictures we took could not capture what we saw. One thing that stinks though, is we didnt know that they lit them up at night!! So we didnt get to see that! But I guess that makes a reason for us to go back!!!!!!

. If you watched the movie "The Mission" with Robert De Niro, the falls are from Iguazu.

Olly
I remember the scene---a man tied to a cross, floating down a river, just before being hurtled down a steep waterfall--------didn't know that it was Iguazu-------impressive Falls

My list of places to GO to is still longer than the list of where I've been, but so far my fav most beautiful place has been under the sea! Off the Bahamas there are two amazing places, with intense life and colors. I hovered at the edge of a "black hole" on the bottom of the sea, sifting sand for shark teeth, too scared to drop into the blackness, but LOVING the feeling. It was both total peace and a helluva rush, at the same time. I've never felt that before. :D Total sensory experience.

Guatemala!

I love the Mayan Ruins at Tikal. The lakes, volcanos, jungles, etc.

Ofcourse, I am from San Francisco and I think it is the most beautiful place on earth.

It's a toss up between:
Salzburg, Austria-Where the sound of music was filmed.
The Rocky Mountains in the fall-The Aspens turn bright gold and red
The Black Forest in Germany-We took a 3 hour train ride to Tittisee.
The eastern mountains of South Korea-I used to deploy with a mobile Radar up the side of mountains and set it up on top. The views were gorgeous.

The each place i've been had it's own reason for being beautiful i guess...

Ones that stand out the most in my head -

Medjugoria - Yugoslavia : I think it was the whole reason we were there and the general feel of the place at the time that made it beautiful.

Philippines - Bagu (spelling) was nice. Up in the mountains. Very nice weather temps.

France - I was too young still, but the Tower was cool to visit. Overall the weather was just too gloomy. I did find the nudity on tv to be interesting (come on! I was teenage boy)

England - Cornwall was nice, but London and others I didn't find anything too special. Again, I was rather young...so I know I'd definitly appreciate it more today.

Mexico - Whats not beautiful about Clear blue waters and white sandy beaches? Mayan Ruins was an excellent trip

Grand Cayamen - Only stopped there ona cruise and did the Stingray City tour. Very awsome to swim with the stingrays.

A few other places but nothing worth mentioning come to mind. I've always wanted to visit Spain, Greece and Italy. One day...
