What kind of music

I'm a country fan that is now without a Country radio station on which to listen. The one and only Country radio station in the NY Metopolitan area has changed formats to Latin. The funny thing is that growing up I hated Country Music. Then I started to listen to the lyrics and was hooked. The lyrics do tell some wonderful stories.

I also like many other types of music but Country is my favorite. Jazz is great for it's musicianship and you can't beat that old time Rock & Roll for it's driving back beat (I love the Beatles, Stones, Yes, Zeppelin, Bob Seager and the list goes on). Classical can take me on a trip to whereever the composer wants me to go. I was weaned on old time Soul music (Temptations, Four Tops, Steve Wonder, Smokey Robinson, Al Greene, Marvin Gaye, Aretha).

Hmmm, my favorite kinda music is heavy metal, but alternative is a real close second. But I can listen to about anything - except country. Depends on if I'm in the car listening, or singing at Karaoke:D Favorite band is Static-X, Slipknot, Snot, Kittie, old Beastie boys and White Zombie. Just to name a few..
And of course, my fiance's metal band, POA.

I voted other..now mostly comtemporary christian/ christain rock.I also listen to country, classic rock, some new rock, but my all time favorite.....80's hair bands. Isn't anything like cranking up some VH, Def Leppard, Night Ranger, Scorps. etc. Oh to be in high school again!!!

I voted rock 'cause thats the music I listened to growing up, and it seems we stick with what we grew up with. However being older and wiser now:p I also like many other types of music. Country has always been at the top of my list and of course there's always Elvis. I like his music because he spans such a broad range from rock to country to gospel so whatever mood I'm in I can always count on The King to come through for me:D

this is a really tought poll.. I couldnt function without music.. I voted alternative.. But I love all types of music.. (country excluded) Love NIN - Limp Bizkit - Dave Matthews - DMX - JaRule - Sublime.... I could go on and on.....
