We live in a 3bd 2bath home with a nice yard. Sam lives in the house with us and is only outside when we are too (even though our yard is fenced). So far, he is our only boxer baby. We live in the 'burbs on the edges of college station, which makes it really nice when there is a game day or graduation or something. LOL

We live in a three bedroom home which is two stories with a two car garage. We have a privacy fenced in back yard which my babies all four of them love. I love the fact I can put them out back without worries. We live in a cul-de-sac in between the city and the country.

Doja's Mommy

Boxer Insane
Doja and I live in a good size one bedroom apt. And beleive it or not, she still does boxer burns in the house..... I have completely gotten rid of anything I didn't need, and I downsized my dining room table to have more space for D. She starts her burns in the living room, burns down the hallway, and to the bedroom, back to the living room, around the coffee table, and it doesn't stop there..... she actually makes tracks in the carpet!!! Its sooo cute..... I would love to have a back yard for her, but I thought about it, and she wouldn't be outside without me anyways, so the yard is just a little convenience. I would not leave her outside in he yard by herself, I would worry about her way toooo much. I live right by the tennis court and a big grassy area where we always go to play. We take tennis balls and she'll pick up a stick or two, and we have good old time on the courts, Its nice cause it all fenced and she can run off her leash... She just loves it. One day, maybe, if I ever have a husband, a house will be nice, I will have to add at least two more fur babies... But for now, we're happy :)

Coco'smommy

Boxer Insane
We live in a 3BD 3 Bath home around 2000sq ft in a cul-de-sac. We have a partically fenced large yard (soon to be all privacy fence) with a nice deck out back. Coco goes out with us and we have no problem with her staying within our yard. She is very good at learning her boundaries and respecting them. No particular gizmos, she has lots of toys a nice big bed made especially for her by grandma, her kennel and enjoys laying on the big rug in front of the fireplace. We do live in a small neighborhood which is not far out of the city and surrounded by hay fields. It's kinda like being in the country except we do have some neighbors and not a lot of land.

We have a 3 bedroom 1 1/2 bath ranch style house with a flat yard...a hard thing to find in Pittsburgh! We live in a subdivision with one way in and out so there isn't a lot of traffic. The yard is fenced and Mya spends most of her time outdoors when we are home. Her boyfriend usually comes to visit every day, but he is getting older and can't take her jumping on him so he usually just stands at the street and looks at her.

Jake is our only boxer along with Slate, our cat and we also have a 15yr old son and live in a 3 bedroom ranch with full basement and nice size yard that's completely fenced in so Jake can do lots of boxer burning. We also live in a nice quiet area and we go on long walks. There are toys and bones scattered througout the house and basketballs, etc. outside (Jake tries to sneak them in). Jake sleeps in our bed even though he has his own bed, which he's never used. He loves it.

I live with my crew in a 3 bedroom, 2 bath house. It is 2 stories, about 2300 sf. The yard is about 1/2 acre and fenced in with a fence that needs replaced, so Roxy is usually on a tie-out. Also, my house is VERY old (built in the 1860's), and is in the city limits, but there are only 1200 people in the whole town! My mayor actually stops to talk to Roxy when we are outside. It has hardwood floors in all rooms except the back sunroom, it has tile, and has become the boxer room. My house was actually built (and is named) to be a "Flower Cottage", it was a florist shop! So, I have huge windows in the front that are awesome. Also, the there are 2 bedrooms upstairs (and 1 bath - add-on.) that was used as storage, so the bedroom I use has NO windows at all! And, I LOVE IT! It's like sleeping in a cave. I did inherit land out in the country (several acres) that I'm saving $$$ for now so that I can fence it in. I want to put up my fence, and septic tank and water this year, next year will be run electricity, etc. to a shed, and then hopefully within 5 years, I will be moving back out to the sticks.

Indy, hubby and I live in 2 story full basement house on 6 acres. Our front yard is almost as long as a football field so needless to say to expensive to fence. We live on a dirt road with a total of 5 houses on it. We can't see our neighbors. Indy goes out on a 40 rope (attached to a harness) but it's not tied to anything. He rarely leaves the yard as long as he can chase his basketball. We have a path thru the back woods and about a 1/2 wall to a large public park with a 2 1/2 path around a lake. It totally country but within 15 minutes of shopping and 2 dog parks.

I don't think it matters how much room you have as long as you have room in your heart. We had 2 boxers in a 1000 sf house and they burned more than Indy does in a bigger house.

I had a boxer in a one bedroom apartment and then I got another sweet boy and we all did just fine. I am a firm believer that, just as with people, all they need is food, exercise and love. A big house and yard are more for the owners than for the four-legged kids. We all know that no matter how big they are they all think they are lap dogs and only need as much space as a you leave next to you as that is the only place that they realy want to be.
i couldnt agree more ;) dont worry at all. you re not crazy. your baby will be happy as long as he is near you, no matter what the space is. Keeroff and I live in a 2 bedroom and 2 bath appartement but soon enough we will be living in a 1 bedroom(bath and sitting room, etc) appartement just the two of us. and i bet he will still be very very happy. ;)
