What kind of home does your boxer have???

Just wondering what your boxers living conditions are??
House, Apartment, Condo, etc...Country with a huge field, Suburb with a yard, inner city with dog parks & sidewalks. Any special gizmos you have had installed specifically for your dog?

Some of my friends think I am crazy because we live in a one bedroom apartment (and yes he still manages to find room to do boxer burnouts). We do not have a yard but he gets exercise daily through walks, going to parks, and friends houses. We have dog toys scattered all over our apartment and he seems to love it here. He has a dog litter box on our balcony, which has helped with bell training, emergency bathroom trips, and sanitary reasons due to other dogs that aren't being taken care of in the complex. Once we get a bigger place we want to adopt another boxer (probably a couple years from now).

Just curious what everyone elses situation is...& make sure to let me know how many boxers you have.

We just have Ty and live in a small 2 bedroom ranch house. We have a decent yard and a little sub-division to walk him around. We want to get a house with around 4 acres in the future-then add another boxer!

We have a 4 bedroom house with a mostly fenced yard (should be finished soon), so for now we have to take Bindi out on a leash each time. We have a super long one that she goes out on, so she can mostly run around. Our yard is huge, so she will enjoy that when the fence gets done. We live in what I guess you would call a suburban type area. We have neighbors, but no sidewalks. Here there are large yards, older houses, etc. When we get our fence finished, we will also be getting a doggy door installed on the back door.

We have a 3 bedroom home with a fully fenced yard and the dogs love it - we leave the back door open for them when we are home so they can come and go as they please, we have just had a price for a new security door with a doggie door in it for them - that way with summer coming they can still come and go as they please and i won;t have the fly problems.

our yard and house have their toys scattered everyway - hubby has to do the toy patrol outside before mowing , they have beds in the lounge room and in our bedroom but of course their favourites are the lounges and our bed.

if we ever came into some desent money ie win the lottery we'd buy a property with heaps of land for them to play on

Indiana is just a bit spoiled. We live in a 3 bdrm colonial. The skin kids have grown, 20 yr old recently moved home. So, this big baby has a fenced in yard to play in, one big boy to take him running frequently. We take him to the dog park regularly and he has a playmate right across the street. We also are fortunate enough to have a place on a lake a few hours from here. The yard there is nice and big, a wonderful lab mix next door to play with and all the neighbors love him.

He has a bed in the family room in front of the fireplace. His crate with another bed is in the kitchen. Another crate (never closed) in the bedroom with a bed in it and extra blankets thrown on the floor just in case he feels the need to hang out somewhere else. Yes, he has a bed at the lake, plus of course blankets in the loft where he likes to hang out. Did I mention that he has more toys than 3 children ever had?

Yep, he's spoiled and we love it!

We only have one boxer, Lucy who is five months old. We have a 4 bedroom single on just over 1/2 acre in a culdesac development. Yes, lots of toys here too. Three little girls to give her lots of love (and help with running her out for potty).

We have a 3 bedroom home in the country surrounded by corn fields on all sides. Our property isn't fenced so Titan is also on a tie-out or on a leash when we go outside. He likes his tie-out and can lay in his yard swing or on the picnic table and watch the tractors on the farm. He's our "supervisor" that watches everything go past. He has plenty of room to run and play outside off-leash with close supervision also. His sister lives on the other side of the farm, but from point A to point B can be dangerous with large machinery so both are watched closely.

The boxers share a house their mom and dad (dh & I) along with 2 cocker spaniel siblings. We live in a small subdivision at the end of a cul-de-sac. We have a 4 bedroom house about 2500sqft. The house is 2 stories so Jasmine and Hailey can boxer burn throught. There are toys scattered throught the house, but the majority is in the family room next to the toy box. Too bad Jasmine rarely plays with any of them. The main culprit of dragging toys out is Sophie. Although when dad steps on a squeaky she tries to blame the boxers for leaving the toy in the middle of the floor. Oh, and last year we built on a deck so the boxers can go outside w/out supervision and sun.

They have a yard that's about 1/4 acre with no fence and a mosquito farm in the back yard. Recently dh and I've let Jasmine out in the yard to do her boxer burns off leash. She's been very good about staying in the yard! Hailey listens very well so I'm trying to get dh to let Hailey out off leash too. Definately dh and I are out there too! I told dh the next move I make is to a retirement home in 40 yrs.

It's not really a mosquito farm. It's a retention pond that doesn't drain property hence the numberous amount of mosquitos and dragonflies. I like the dragonflies, but can do without the dangum mosquitos.

Bailey (mini dachshund), Beau and I live in a 900ish sq.ft. apartment until next month (yay!!!). We're moving to an 1100 sq.ft. 3br house that has a great backyard for them. I don't think it would matter if we lived in a mansion...they have to be within a foot of me at all times!!!

We live in a townhouse. Not one of those huge, house-like ones you see now, but decent sized. No yard, but the development has alot of open "dog area". We also have a court yard where he can go off leash while we have football catchess and such. I have a small front area, but only enough for a garden and grill He is a leash dog, but we take him out so much, I think he gets as much excercise as a fenced yard dog. We're content :D.
