My heart sank when I saw the sad faces and read your post - I am so sorry. Your loving caring attitude and outlook will surely complement everything that can be done for Champ to keep him comfortable and free of pain. The love that you and your family have for him will help him immeasurably. I pray you have many good days together. You are in my thoughts and prayers.
Hugs to Champ and his mom from Grunt and his mom.

Oh I am so sory the news wasn't better, keep those meds coming and hopefully things will go better then the vet said. Enjoy and spoil Champ as much as you can. You never know When my Willy was diagnosed with cancer last year there was a lady I worked with and she told me that her dog had it too I asked her how long ago she was diagnosed and she told me almost 2 years, she ended up dying from different health issues so keep those paws crossed and meds coming.

My cocker spaniel lived for two years after being diagnosed with congestive heart failure. I had to give him meds all during that time, but it was definitely worth it! I sure hope that Champ can do the same thing! At least you know he is a happy and loved boy!

I am so sorry for the news. I faced something similar last year with Bruno. He had stenosis and valve displaysia. The vet gave me 1 month and he lived 5 after the diagnosis. medication was not an option for him so hopefully the meds will work for your pup. it is the christmas season and miracles can happen. we are sending healing vibes to you.

We're so sorry to hear this news. We always pull for the best for all our babies, once we know of a possible threat. It just knocks us all down a step when someone gets bad news because we all know that it could be any one of us at any time. So we emphasize with your sadness. We just hope and pray that your Champ will turn out to be THE CHAMP and surprise us all! Best wishes and try to put aside your sadness so Champ continues to feel a good positive energy from you.

O-sweetie I am sorry the news was not better. But you never know Champ could be with you for a very long time. Just make everyday the best day for him and your family. Remember you are the one that gave him the love and warm home he might not have had before... And that is what counts for him. He has a family and love! I hope you have many more wonderful time with him. Please give Champ some loves and kisses from Darby and I...HUGS to you!

I’m so sorry you received bad news. I’m sending many ((((((((((vibes)))))))))) to Champ for a long comfortable life.

Was the doctor you saw a cardiologist? If not what about seeing one for a second opinion? Not necessarily to challenge to diagnosis but rather to get a second opinion of the treatment and meds. Maybe someone who specializes in hearts can buy Champ more time???

So sorry to hear the diagnosis. It brought tears to my eyes just reading. When our GSD was diagnosed with degeneratvie myelopathy last summer we did everything we could to make sure she was comfortable and happy and took extra time to tell her that we loved her. Even though we know in our hearts that they aren't human and don't always understand us, I believe that there is a special connection between us and that Champ will be forever greatful for the wonderful home you have provided. Enjoy your boy for as long as you are priviledged to have him with you!
