Well Champ has been sick now for about 2 weeks. Huffing and puffing and throwing up white foam. The vet started him on 2 types of antibiotics but they weren’t working so today we had x-rays done of his chest. His lungs have been compromised and he is having trouble breathing. The x-rays showed they were all fuzzy, which is not good. The vet said he either had a fungal infection which he said could take several months on end to clear up or.........lung cancer. :( He took all kinds of blood and is having all kinds of tests done but he said if they come back negative he really thinks it could be cancer. He did say though that there are 2 types of fungi that live in the soil in this area/region so it could be a bad infection if he ate something with it in it. We will find out the first of the week, probably Monday, but now we have to wait all weekend to see what is wrong with him. I am supposed to work today and really don't know if I can. My hubby is heart broken. We will spend our last penny on him if need be but I just want him to get better. He won't eat unless I hand feed him or put hot dogs in his food which I am going to get the largest hot dog pack I can get if that's what it takes to keep him eating. He won't play just wants to lie around and be loved on. Which the vet said no play time or running so I guess I won't have a problem there. Just keep him in your thoughts that this is something that can be treated. He has been through so much in his life he disserves to be better.
