If they aren't doing anything for him I'd definatley bring him home. Like you said-you can watch him yourself at home and he won't be alone for no reason.

please ask them to x-ray and be sure it isn't an obstruction...this is my biggest concern...

Oh, I am.. And asking them why they haven't done a parvo test, Which it's obvious it's not parvo since he's showing no other signs.. And why no blood work was done. All they have done is let him sit in a cage and tossed him a can of food!

I am so sorry you have been through all of this and have no answers. IMO, you should pick your baby up TODAY, keep an eye on him and get him to another vet like Laura suggested. If there is and emergency clinic, I would get him over, get him x-rayed and tested.

Give Toby some sloppy kissed from us!! (((hugs))) for all you have been through. Your boy belongs home for Thanksgiving :)

Get him home, especially over the holiday as no one will be at the hospital if some turns more serious!!!! You can monitor just as easily. Find the location of the emergency vet ahead of time or if your vet takes emergency calls after hours. Ultimately he's your dog and your decisions. If they aren't doing any medical test I would question them as to why and what they think it is and what their game plan is. If they don't have any idea than they are not qualified. Personally, I would get him to another vet for a second opinion.

I agree with Laura and Elyse completely. They are wasting you time, money and patience and putting poor Toby in a bad situation (IMO). I would be so frustrated. Good Luck! Sending lots of <<healing vibes>> and ((hugs)) your way!

Hmmm.. Yeah, Second opinion sounds good but it's to find a DECENT vet here.. lol, There are like 2 others.

One charges out the butt for basically nothing at all. Like an uncle's dogs had the beginning of heartworms. He wanted to charge him over $100 to give it a pill, etc. He went to my vet and got away with only paying $30 for a checkup and a heartworm pill.

The other has a bad habit of feeling up women when they go.. So I kind of refuse to go unless my husband is with me at the time since I really don't want to deal with that crap.

OY, I think I would go the the pricey vet and explain the situation and ask if they will work with you as you have spent so much money already. Most usually tend to work with you. Most important is to get him home though.
