Just a big thank you to everyone who contributes to this website. I have not visited for a while and tonight is my first time back in about a 3 weeks.

We were held up in our home 10 days ago by 3 armed men. They attacked my hubby when he was leaving for golf at about 06h40, forced him to open the house, tied us up, and cleaned us out. Thank God none of us were hurt (including all my furbabies).

Coming back here makes me feel a whole lot better. Keep it up everyone !!!!!!

Oh My Gosh!

I almost couldn't believe what what I was reading when I read your post. I am glad to hear that you, your family, and your furbabies were not hurt. How scary that must have been.

Very good friends of ours were broken into last year and were cleaned out too :( They were never able to catch the people that did this, but at least they and thier family were not injured.

I will keep you in my thoughts.

Thank you Kysha. What really makes me angry though, is that incidents like these happen on a daily basis in this country, and does not even make the newspapers anymore.

There is not much hope of the thugs being caught either. The material things are not important, as that was insured. It is living with this fear all the time that is soul destroying.

I am sorry for what you had to go through. I am glad that no one was hurt. it makes me angry that there are people like this in the world. I am sure that you are all still going through some grieving not for your loss of material things but your privacy and your emotions that have been invaded. I wish there were something I could say to make it all better and go away but unfortunately I'm at a loss for words. Keep your head up and don't let these people rob you of the more important things that you still have. You have each other help each other through this. Know that we are here and you have a permanent support group.

Wow what a tramatizing thing to have happened to you and your family! I hope that all is better and that you guys are trying to feel comfortable in your house again. I am sure it was scary. I am glad to hear that no one including the fur babies got hurt.

How totally frightening that must have been. I can't even imagine it. Thank god no one was hurt, including your fur babies. Like everyone else says, the material stuff you can get back again, but your security is another issue all together. I hope you are all on the road to recovering and remember we are all here if you need someone to talk to.
