Good Morning.....well the weekend was another long weekend with Brandi. We are headed back to the vet here in a bit. She was sick again all weekend. She isn't throwing up, but she has diarrhea so bad, over 9+ times just yesterday. She didn't eat anything yesterday morning, and just a little bit last night. I don't know if it is because it makes her sick or she just isn't interested.

I called the vet first thing this morning and they of course had to wait for the vet to get there and they would call me back. But this is getting ridiculous. The surgery was suppose to clear all this up. And since it didn't, that obviously isn't what was wrong. It's got to be something else, the question is what? All her blood work has come back okay.

Something has to give because she just can not loose anymore weight. She slept all day yesterday expect when she needed to go outside. She got a little spunky last night for about 10 minutes but that was enough to do her in for the rest of the night. She didn't move.

I feel so bad for her because we can't pin point what is wrong and causing all of this.

I will let you all know what the vet says today!!! Keep your fingers crossed we can come up with something!!!!!

HUGS!

Well the vet is getting under my skin. They took Brandi off all the meds she was on. Put her on Immodium and Prevacid. Still no explanation as to why she has the diaherra, she threw up this morning. She slept literally all afternoon and night. She did not move from her chair, literally. She did eat and she did drink water. But there has got to be an explanation as to why all this is going on.

I am banding my head against the wall, I am so worried about her. Granted when we don't feel good and have been sick like she has all we want to do is sleep too. But, she is sleeping more and more and more. That is very very worrisome.

Am I just being an over protective mom?? What would you guys do?

HUGS,
~~Jeanette~~

First, let me say again that I am so sorry that you and Brandi have had to go through all you have gone through...you are an angel angelicon! and Brandi is so cared for and loved as we all love our babies and it hurts all of us to hear another member go through this...
I wonder if all the trouble that Brandi has gone through hasn't affected her bowels to the point now that she is not absorbing any nutrients as the bowel lining is stripped and its causing diarrhea....I think given this possibilit of this ( you can ask the vet if he/she thinks this may be the cause) , the vet taking her off all meds and putting her on Prevacid and Immodium, may be helpful...I would ask the vet if adding a probiotic would help to build the lining back up..as this takes time....hang in there and please keep us on the progress and lots and lots of hug your way....Barbara

Is Brandy on any kind of pain meds? Gauge was on one that made him really sick after the surgery maybe look into that. What are you feeding her right now? Does she have staples and stitches in her stomach? You could try feeding her just boiled white potatoes and chicken meat. 50% of each. That took care of Gauges runs after surgery and is easy to diguest.

lots of healing vibes my side for your baby Brandi angelicon
i hope the problem soon go away... good thinking about all this irrititating her.. maybe she needs a break from meds and all.
probiotics, yogurt, plain chicken and potatoes should help a lot :)

talk to your vet about this idea.

keep us posted! angelicon
