Vet has been updating us twice a day and Apollo is doing well. He got some water on his own yesterday and some food this morning.

The vet did mention that it is not uncommon for them to have to go back into surgery to fix the incision because of movement of the intestines. Not sure I quite understand that.

She did say that if he does well today, he will more than likely come home tomorrow or Saturday and we will just have to watch his incision for any signs of trouble.

I am off Mon-Wed of next week and working from home Thurs and Fri to be home with him.

I am so happy he is doing well and I hope he continues to do well. He needs to get home as he needs to apply for some jobs to pay me back.

Dear Apollo,

So glad to hear that you are doing so well! Keep up the good work and get home ASAP as your dad is really a wreck over this ordeal! I had a heart murmur and had to have a cardiac ultrasound that cost lots of $$$, so my dad said I had to get a job, too. I am the official prewasher of dishes before they go into the automatic dishwasher. The tips and benefits are pretty good. Maybe there is a restaurant or two close to home that you could work for. I'd give you an excellent reference!
