Questions about Apollo's/GI blockage

This post is for Jason, Apollo's Dad...I'm hoping you might be able to help us a bit. Jordan vomitted up parts of a toy about 4 days ago and since has been vomitting, attempting to vomit, and having bad "runs" (I can never spell the 'd' word). On day two, he had tummy and intestinal exrays and they were clear of debris, but after reading what you went through, it seems most logical to me that he may still have something stuck in there. My questions for you are as follows...and I apologize in advance for their graphic nature:

1) Did he only vomit, or did he also have the runs?
2) Did he have 'unproductive' vomit...like dry heaves?
3) Did the doctor ever say why nothing showed in the xrays?

Thank you so much for your reply...I hope!! It is, as I write, 4:17 a.m. and one of us has been up with him much of the night. He finally settled down about half hour ago but I'm so freaked out I can't sleep. Vet appt. is at 8:30 edt.

Thank you again,
Jennie

Well, Jordan is home now and seems to be on the mend. That's the good (great!) news. The thing is, they ran a whole battery of tests and didn't find an actual diagnosis of anything wrong, which is a bit frustrating both from a financial and emotional perspective. Slightly over $1000 (thank goodness for VPI!!) later and here we are wondering what happened! Ultimately though, as long as he continues to mend and it doesn't happen again...who cares?! He's home and as of this morning had the most normal 'movement' in a week, plus took a very energetic run at his sister while we were out there. Yea!!

First,

Barkley,

My apologies for not seeing your post, we have been taking care of Apollo and I wasn't at the computer much. Again, my apologies.

Update on Apollo,

He is still home and doing wonderful. We had to bring him back twice a day for antibiotic shots for 4 days, but he is finally all better they say. Sunday he gets his stitches removed. YAY! for that.

He has gained all his weight back....plus some lol.

The whole ordeal is not something I would want to wish on anyones mind, soul, heart and wallet. The event cost us around $2600 after it was all said and done, but well worth it to have our guy back.
