Well the vet called this morning and Apollo hasn't throw up all night, but 90% of the beryllium seems to make it through his system, but 10% is stuck in his small instestine, leading them to believe he might have something stuck in there.

Why this "thing" hasn't shown up on the x-rays, I don't know, I am not a vet. I just know I want my little guy fixed and back at home.

The team of doctors are going to meet in the morning and collectively decide if exploratory surgery is the next step, but they are all in agreement that he has been there way to long for a simple gastritis problem. Something else has to be going on.

My only fear is that it is not something he ate, but a tumor or possibly worse, cancer or something of the like, but I think those wouldn't have come on as fast (i.e. overnight), it would have been a progression. But it could have been progressing and this was the final stage that put him into pain.

Jason, I know how easy it is to let your mind run away with you thinking of all the possible things it could be. Try not to worry about all the what ifs (I know, easier said then done). It is good they have multiple doctors discussing the situation, more heads are always better then one :) I hope they figure out what is wrong and soon so he can get home! Please continue to keep us posted.

Poor little Apollo! Moab and I are still keeping you guys in our thoughts and prayers. Two heads are always better than one and hopefully, its just something minor that, once diagnosed, can be easily taken care of. Keep us posted and we're all sending hugs, wiggles, kisses and prayers.

It's probably nothing at all to be too worried about. I'm sure the odds are in your favor. Please keep us informed and we'll be praying for you.

I think my biggest fear is they will open him up for exploratory surgery and #1 find nothing or #2 find something far worse than just a blockage.

I guess we will know tomorrow when they open him up.

Fingers and paws crossed for a good outcome tomorrow. Here's hoping for a complete recovery for Apollo. Best wishes.

Oh Jason, I was so hoping to come in here today and hear that little Apollo came home. But atleast he's in the care of very concerned doctors and hopefully after tomorrow they will be able to fix him and send him home with his little nubbin just a waggin away ;) Try not to worry and do your best to stay positive, I know it's hard but you've got to try. We are going to keep our fingers and paws crossed until little Apollo comes home to stay. You're in our thoughts and prayers and we hope the next update is the good one we are all waiting to hear :)
