Chance and I send Boxer hugs, kisses, wiggles, and wags and we sure do hope Apollo has a speedy recovery. I have no kids either so Chance is my baby and I know I would be going stir crazy waiting to hear something. Can't wait to hear the diagnosis and we hope it all turns out ok. Hang in there you will have your baby back soon

I agree with Antimony1019. I think it's odd that the Emergency Vet wouldn't be able to give you a quicker diagnosis.

Darlin had a similar problem about a month ago except that we knew she'd eaten something. She'd gotten ahold of one of those curly phone cords (not plugged in, thank GOD) and kept throwing up pieces of that. Fortunately though, her symptoms ended after about a day of throwing up. And then about 4 days later, she threw up another piece and acted lethargic. The EVet (which is our normal vet too anymore) said she shouldn't be throwing it up this late in the process so I rushed her in there. They took Xrays and diagnosed her while I sat there about 30 minutes later.

Mindy and I are sending the very best wishes for your boy.

Mindy understands what Apollo is going through, she was in the hospital just two weeks ago for 4 days. I thought there was a problem with her spay incision and turns out she was literally dying from a blood disorder.

Here's hoping for good news and that things get better and he can come back home quickly to his mom, dad and brother!!

Wow, my heart has just sunk even further.

I am poking around the forums and start to find these threads on how Chicken Soup is no longer good for my guys, and I feed them nothing but that.

Zeus isn't appearing to have any issues, but he is also alot bigger than Apollo.

I just don't know what to do or think right now.

Sending lots of hopeful and healing vibes for your boy, Apollo. We all certainly understand how you feel, as our babies are members of our families too, and when something is wrong it is very, very upsetting. I have to agree about the wait time for any information on Apollo's condition. They should be able to see an obstruction on Xrays - why can't they do those right away? Please keep us posted - you can count on lots of thoughts going out for Apollo from us.
