I know, this is the tough part. What I would recommend in this case is get him a big enough crate where he can relieve himself in one end, and sleep in the other. Put a carboard barrier in between the crate that he has to go through. It's technically the same crate, but he will see it as "going outside" his space. I think once he is 16 weeks or so, he can hold it for the 6 six hours and you can remove the barrier. You will have to see how it goes and adjust his ability to hold it. Make sure the first thing you do as soon as you get home is let him outside. If you can find someone to come home and let him out, that would be ideal, if not try thatHow long can you leave the puppy in crate before he needs to pee etc?
As i will be out of the house for up to 6hours etc.. should I only crate when I am home? any advice welcome???
