I was thrilled to read such a wonderful post. I can just see her up in the bed. I was delighted to hear that she weighed 26lbs. I prayed for her last night and this morning. I hope that she recovers quickly, and will start being a normal boxer girl soon. I can not wait for pics.

At least this year she will have a good Christmas with her Christmas angels.

That is great that she weighs 26 lbs, but after what you have described, I can't imagine what she looked like at 17 lbs!!!! Poor baby! :mad: How there are such cruel people out there is just beyond me!

OK!! that just tore me up. Thank You for You!! My heart just sank reading your story, I am so thankful you were able to and did take her. When we got our brindle boy he was also in bad shape very scared, mange and very under weight at 42lbs. When we first brought him home he would always peek around corners before he entered the room kinda made you want to say "Boo" when you seen him. So we decided on Peek-A-Boo (Boo for short). The love she will give you when she to is loved will warm your heart. Boo is doing very well at 65lbs with his sister Belle it has been one year in November 2003 still a little scared at times but has adapted very well. Thank You"all

What a very sweet story. It made me cry, but they were tears of joy. So happy that Grace finally found her home and finally found her a family that will give her the best life. That is sooo great I hope it all works out for you. I'll keep checkin' in to see how things are going.

God Bless both of you for opening your hearts and home to this baby in need! She is a LIFE, not a pet to be cared for until you are tired or she is no longer "puppy" cute. Karma is unforgiving and I can only hope that what goes around will certainly come around to whomever mistreated her and tried to break her spirit!

Grace, you are so very lucky to have found someone to love you. Do not think for one minute that you do not deserve this kind of love. I am praying for you and my Rocky sends you his best mushy kisses. Get better sweetheart.

I finally got to open this thread and like everyone else...I commend you for adopting that little girl. You have made her Christmas a very happy one I'm sure.

Bless you!! You have just changed a life and she will bless you a hundred times over for it with lots of boxer kisses (the best kind) and love. You will be amazed at how fast she comes around and gains that weight she needs...I know first hand what a loving home and a good meal can do! When we rescued our girl she was only 30 lbs...she is now 45,still tiny but she looks healthy and happy now!
