Yet another update...
Thanks again everyone for the prayers and well wishes!!
It is now the morning...and I uploaded a bunch of pics of her...hopefully they will be processed soon...so you can all meet the newest addition to our home.
We found out that Gabby really likes her...last nite I went in and spied on her again and they were about a foot apart sleeping next to eachother. It was cute...
While she was sleeping last nite, I put the baby gate up in the doorway that seperates the kitchen from the living room, so Har and Max had the rest of the house to be in (our bedroom is off of the kitchen on the other side) so she had two rooms to herself. I figured that she might want to eat or drink...or just explore if she felt like waking up. So anyhow...I decided to play a little of my Sims2 game...and after about an hour...Harlie and Max both started whining really loud and getting excited. I went out to check what was up, and yep, Grace was sitting on the opposite side of the baby gate sniffing at them. Even wagging her little nub a bit. So I hopped over on her side and welcomed her and pet her...make her feel like she is wanted around...and she sat right down on my lap. She kept getting up and sniffing the other dogs too. After about 20 minutes of that...and once Har and Max calmed down a bit, we took the gate down...Grace wanted in the living room. All three dogs were just fine together...Max and Har are very gentle with her...we just have to tell them to let her be sometimes because they just wont stop sniffing her...when she feels overwhelmed by them, she lets out her low growl and they back off. I assume they are pretty sure she means business. They all did great...and when they werent invading every bit of space she had, she would wag her nub at them. She is very loving and sweet to Josh and me already...she wants to be with you no matter where you go. So I made a little bed in the office on the floor next to where I was sitting and she laid right down while I played my game. After a while it was about bedtime, so I took her out, and yep she peed right away. She is doing so good with that. Then when we came in she got right back up in bed and snuggled up. I let out the other two and at this point I was going to have her sleep in her new crate, Max and Har sleep with me every nite (Josh works nites) and I didnt want them to feel like they were being replaced, so I just couldnt put them in their crates, I would feel horrible if I did that...yet I didnt want to shove poor Gracie in a crate either...soooo yep I tried it. Me and the three dogs slept happily on the bed all together last nite. There was a few instances where I had to firmly tell Har and Max to lay back down and get to sleep...but only a few. They all did great...and Grace didnt try to jump off the bed the whole nite. Then in the morning when Josh got home, Har and Max went to greet him, like they always do...he lets them out...then he comes in and sees me and Grace. She wags her nubbin and is happy to see him. We keep asking her if she wants to go outside...and her face perks up but she doesnt want to move...she was warm and cuddly and like me, didnt want to get out of bed yet! Haha...but when we finally got her moved a little, Josh noticed there was little blood spots on the blanket and we both freaked out that it was her incision, but it wasnt, it was one of her nipples that is all torn up...it wasnt bleeding anymore, but you could tell that was where it had came from. Welp, then we let her out, and she peed right away. She is so good...then she went to the door...so I figured she was done since she hadnt ate anything anyhow to poop. When we got inside...she and the dogs sniffed eachother a little more, then she growled at them a little...we couldnt understand why...then she starts to try and poop...
thats why! Ha ha...so we said "NO, no lets go outside!" And she went to the door...she made it out and did her business out there...then I praised the heck out of her. Then we went back in and they all ate a little...Grace didnt want to eat at all...but we enticed her a little with a dab of shredded cheese on top of her food...and she ate a few bites. But thats all she ate...we figure once she is back to her normal self and comfortable then she will eat for us. Then she went in the living room and laid down on a bed we made her out of our pillow top from our bed...we just folded it in half, and put a quilt on top of it...so its like a huge comfy pillow...and she laid down and fell asleep. And when I left for work this morning, thats what she was still doing. I kissed them all goodbye and yep now Im here...
That is my whole update...is it long enough? Haha...ok Im really done now. She is doing great and we are hoping she is feeling better soon.
