Day 2 of the rest of my smoke free life..

going to repost this one too

www.whyquit.com

I spent alot of time there yestrday, there is a forum, but they ask you to be nicotine free for 72 hours before joining..

I was realised yesterday that the cigarette I enjoyed the most was the one I smoked on the way home from work.. BOY did I miss it, I craved that thing for a good hour and a half, but the craving DID pass! It is very hard to not debate myself when my brain tells me I want a cigarette. I just keep saying Never take another puff over and over. This is going to work!!! I feel pretty crappy today and I hope I remember that in the future, cause I never want to put myself through this again, so, I either stay quit, or smoke forever:(

gonna go check out that other link. Thanks.

Jenn and all you other *quitters*--you can do it!! This is one time where being a quitter is a good thing! It's difficult, but it can be done! I did it 20+ years ago and haven't craved a cigarette since. I was so afraid I would, but I don't.

Patting myself on the back

I have a quit meter I downloaded from a site, My stats have helped me through a few tough moments, and they grow and strengthen my resolve every second! Today, at 5:30 PM I will have been nicotine free for 7 days!!! One whole week:D And as of right now, I have NOT smoked 100 cigarettes!!! I feel better, and am getting my sense of taste back! I am determined to put that habit behind me FOREVER!!!

You too can do it!!!!!

One thing that helped me quit was to get a jar or piggy bank or whatever, and each day I'd put in the jar the amount of money I saved that day by not smoking. Well, it added up pretty fast (even 20 years ago), and when I knew I had beaten the habit, I went out and bought myself a present (a purse as I remember).

Congrats, Jenn, for being smoke free for 7 days!

My handy dandy quit meter calculates how much I have saved, $16.42 so far, I have decided that if/when I have been nicotine free for one year, I am going to buy a brand new car as a reward for myself!:D Hope the old Jeepster holds out til then...
