Butler says "Thank You" for his birthday wishes. We will be going toy shopping later when his dad gets home.

You just gave me the best 4th of July news I've ever had. I'm so happy to hear that Miss Josi is "up and at 'em" today; ready to conquer the world. I hope she has a wonderful visit and loads of fun (but not enough to overdo it). Sending bunches and bunches of hugs to the Warrior Princess.

Happy 4th of July.....

Josi seemed to have a wonderful visit yesterday...although it was exhausting for her. Her aunt and uncle brought her Bil Jac liver treats (some of her favorite) and she was constantly swatting for belly rubs:) She over did the exercise portion wanting to walk all around, but she did take naps and hopefully enjoyed watching us all make fools of ourselves playing the WII! We decided to take her home last night and let her get some much needed rest in her own bed. She is already up and perky as ever this morning and depending on the plans of the day, she may take another excursion over to her grandparents house. I think we are definitely going again tomorrow as long as Josi is up to it, so we don't want to over do it for her...but I have to keep telling myself it is about the quality of time, not the quantity of time. Hope all your babies survived the fireworks and enjoy their weekend.

So happy to hear Miss Josi enjoyed her visit yesterday. Quality is important, but we all want "quantity". As Butler turned 6 yesterday, I was reminded that that's when Scarlett started getting sick. So, I'll try not to think about that. We didn't get to watch the fireworks here in Athens. The storms were horrible and had freaked Butler out even before the fireworks began. The apartment we have here was MUCH closer to the park than I first thought, so we could actually hear them here. I ended up giving more Rescue Remedy just to settle him down enough to sleep. He's fine today, though.

Sending good wishes that Josi will "rest up" today and get to visit with her grandparents, and aunt and uncle again tomorrow. We're going out for most of the day, so I'll check back in later. Until then.....hugs for Miss Josi coming her way.

Just got home from another visit over at the inlaws and boy was Josi peppy and happy to be there today! She waddled from room to room, ate loads of yummies like some baby back ribs, and we pretty much had to force her out of the house to leave. Grandma had to trick her by going outside to make Josi think we were just going outside for a pee break. She did have a little case of the runs so hopefully that doesn't continue, but I guess if it does....I will call on Monday for a prescription of flagyl since we know that works. It really brings tears of joy to my eyes to still have Josi here and enjoying her life so much. I know she can no longer do many of things she used to do, but she seems to have adapted well to everything she is dealing with. I think back to when Brian and I were so worried about leaving her for our wedding on January 20th and here were are today on July 5th bigger and better than ever:) I am glad to hear that everyone survived the fireworks and I hope everyone is enjoying this holiday weekend as much as we are...until tomorrow!
